Does anyone know if the frame rust recall is still in effect, I've heard a few people say it is and a few people say it isn't. I have a 2004 toyota tacoma and just noticed some scattered rust, took it to the dealership and they laughed at me and said there is no recall. Which is odd because I had my truck in a few weeks ago and the mechanic told me he checked the frame for me according to the recall

I believe they will warranty the frame until 2019 as long as you had it inspected in 2009(?). I forget the exact year. Hopefully someone who knows specifics will chime in.

Thanks, I'll have to have them check my service to see if it inspected, I've only had it two years so

California sold trucks are not covered. Its only states that use shit tons of salt on their roads. Mostly north eastern and surrounding states. No west coast states qualify.
