I have a 16 TRD Sport DC on order and plan on having leather seats installed. I would have purchased the limited, but didn't like the leather color or square pattern.

The local trim shop recommended in my area has the ability to install kits from www.leatherseats.com or Roadwire.

Does anyone have one of these leather kits installed in your truck? Are you happy with the leather quality and fit? Do you have any photos available to post?

Thanks for your info and suggestions.

I've seen great results from Katzkin, not personally just photos here and there.

I was on the fence about katskinz and I have seen a few trucks at dealers with them installed. I would not hesitate, they look fantastic.

I am not familiar with the other brands you mentioned.

roadwire makes really good shit too, don't be hesitant. Whichever is the cheapest, go that route.

HA This is the cheapest. I did not want to add an expensive Mod (ie Katskins) I would not recoup at sell time. But I only keep vehicles a few years so down the line resale is always on my mind when adding accessories.

These are $200 CoverKing Leatherette Covers that will smooth out after a few hot days. Upside is they protect seats and look "ok'. (I am not entering any truck contests soon)..I can remove these at sale time and the stock seats will be in perfect condition

Better than that I won't have to make up another $1500 or so at sale time to recoup my expensive leather Mod few will pay up for.2016-01-14 17.07.49.jpg

my reply was for roadwire and katskinz

there isn't a huge difference in quality. I have friend sponsored by both. No major issues when installed by a proper shop

TW is almost like a constant advertisement for Katzkin. I have been pleased with mine.

Yeah I understood what you were referring to. We had Katskins on the wifes 12 RAV 4. We bought that used with them already installed. They were nice but I really could not tell a comfort difference from my 08 Tacoma CoverKings at the time and her Katskins. That is why I went with the CoverKings again. I had Katzkins and I did not see or feel $1200 more than I paid

I just thought I would offer the least expensive solution and maybe save the OP well over $1000 and enjoy a low maintenance leatherette seat. I have used CoverKing before and it looks great after it settles in and is not permanent which I view as an advantage.

Plus if I screw up and cut or otherwise damage a seat cover they are cheap to replace.

Those Katskins above my post have the same sort of wrinkling you get with Coverkings The difference is genuine leather will eventually crack. Leatherette is more durable. I don't know what type of leather Katzkin uses I doubt it is full or top grain. Likely Split leather covered with Vinyl

IF I were going to do Katskin, I would look at their Tuscany setup

I need to take some new pictures. The ones above were right after install. There is still some wrinkles (my Lexus has some as well) but way less.

Had Katzkins installed last week. There are perfect. Got black with platinum stitching. Perfect match for the dash.
2nd car (Xterra) that I've used Katzkin. Had about 100k on it when I sold it and they still looked great.
