Not a very good day today. I had a friend killed last night in a fatal crash at Mile Marker 81 on the Queen K. Worked with him, saw him most mornings dropping off his kids at school and spent time on the ocean with him. The irony is that the other person killed, in the other vehicle, is the twin brother of a close friend.

Not looking for sympathy here. Just want to remind my friends to be sure and tell your friends and family how you feel every chance you get. Tracey and I tell each other "I love you" 20 times a day.

Thanks for the thoughts. Yes Tom was a bartender at Beach Tree at the Four Seasons. If you google Tom's Pink Shirt drink, there is a video of him making it.

man i knew some people who have worked there and they must know him too.

queen kaahumanu highway is dangerous, but then again i feel theres too much people on this island already. couple times a year always get people who die on that highway. ive lost a bunch of classmates and friends on that road….infact most of my classmates who died in a car wreck on big island, died on queen kaahumanu hwy. the only other one was on kealakehe park way.

idk, life sucks. you got people who die who dont want to, then you have people like me who can barely make it day to day. the government and hpd has got me wanting to kick the bucket and blow my brains out…but what can i say lifes hard and idk wtf, just cant figure it out. just cant. tried to slow on drinking, dont do drugs, finally paid off my collections, trying to get my license back…fck idk. all my money goes to the government and they treat me like shit

With time and elbow grease, you should be able to do it yourself. I refinished these pro comps, they were nasty with pits and brake dust when I got them. Dremel sanded all the holes, 1000 grip wet sanded everything else. Then went to town polishing with a dremel and mothers polish ball. Started with crappy turtle wax chrome and metal polish and then finished with Adams metal polish 1 and 2.
When I sold them, guy said he never like chrome... I was like, that's not chrome I just polished the shit out of it! He said he was gonna paint them black. SMH. Almost didn't want to sell to him after hearing that .

Yeah if can save, then may as well.

the free shipping is awesome though. I know someone who orders metal and other bulky items off Amazon…guarantee save choke on shipping.

after you mentioned this, I looked for my next set on Amazon too. set of 5 Cooper STT Pros for $1100. Lex Brodie's quoted me almost $1400 for a set of 4. only thing is I still gotta get them mounted and balanced.

so where's the best place in Kona to do that?

Hahahahahah, lex brodies is a few hundred more than costco for any set of bfg truck tires. 2 285/70r17 cooper stt's costed my brothers gf $700 from lex brodies…waste money.

costco also mounts/balances tires not from them. They just started doing that. I have friends over at diamond autoworks/towing that mount and balance for a decent price. I do most of my own tires, cant balance them though.

best…I wouldnt know. always has that chance of someone scratching the rims.

oh yeah, if I going end up with BFG's, I going costco. I think a set of 5 KO2's (265/75/16) was around $1100 OTD.

how much your friends charge for mount/balance? kinda wanna try something different than BFG and I'm probably not getting Duratracs anymore... I don't know if I wanna take any chances with those sidewalls in lava, 15 miles away from any paved roads :p
