i am putting a lift in my new tacoma, it is a 2016 trd off road crew cab long bed, i bought a tough country lift. it has coil spacers and new UC arms in the front. the rear is 2inch blocks with new U-bolts,

MY QUESTION. has anyone done 2 inch blocks? if so what shocks did you put in. the kit says that all i need are longer shocks. BUT i do not know the specs on the stock shocks. do i just go one size bigger?

if anyone can tell me what shocks to buy for the rear i would appreciate it, links to pages where i can buy or part numbers and brands would be helpful, once i have shocks i can put the lift in. i just dont want to buy the wrong ones.

PICS, LINKS, AND TIPS ARE HELPFUL. THANKS GUYS!!!

If you can, try and return the lift and get your money back.

I ran 2" blocks with stock shocks for a bit and it was fine. Not much down travel to speak of, but it would appear you're not willing to buck up for much more, so.... have at er, dude.

I learned the hard way on a few vehicles I tried to cheap out on. Save your money and purchase something of quality. You'll end up spending more money fixing the cheap stuff in the end and be unhappy when you're truck isn't performing the way you wanted it to

thanks, looks like these kits are good, probably will go with the fox kit, whichever gives most lift. i will be doing trail riding to and from my camp in mass and my cabin in vermont with this truck, quality lift will be better than the cheap stuff i ordered, doing refund then ordering one of these, 4 inches of lift up front and 2-3 in back would be ideal

Depends on what "kit" you buy. If you want 3-4 inches of lift, go with OME springs and shocks up front, with the All Pro Expo Leaf pack and OME struts in the back, or maybe even some icon extended travel for the rear.

just an aal is not going to give you the lift you want, you need a whole leaf pack
