Yesterday i removed the OPT7 750 lumen fog/drl bulbs that i had purchased from my fog light location on my truck and instead installed the OPT7 LED H11 headlight bulbs in their place. HUGE difference! Literally night and day. I am now totally satisfied with my decision to go LED on my Taco.

I would caution anyone who is contemplating the LED conversion to be wary of the fog/drl 750 lumen bulbs. It is not worth the $68 dollar savings. They are WAY too dim (again, this is my opinion). From the factory, your rig comes with identical bulbs in the headlights and in the foglights and IMO that is how you should proceed with the LED's. H11 LED headlight units in both locations.

I'd definitely say these have a lot more usable light compared to the stock halogens. If they aren't brighter, the color temp really helps make the area more visible. Stock halogens didn't seem like they threw light more than 40 feet. With the LEDs, you can clearly see the light 80 feet out or better.

Odd since mine didn't require it on either head light. Did the fuses pop right away or after awhile?

Edit: After seeing the picture, I had to use the polarity reversing cable on both head lights. I didn't have to use their Flux capacitor piece on either however.

They have a 2 yr warranty. You could easily go through a heck of a lot more than $99 in two years running hyper-white halogens. This is the best deal going and they are just awesome looking!

When installing, what is the consensus with the polarity reversing cables and Flux cable for the low beam H11 and fog LED's?? I'm getting mixed messages: passenger only vs both vs none??

I initially connected everything and it didn't work, once I removed the Flux capacitor on both sides it worked so I left it as is and didn't test any other combinations. The paper that came with the lights said you need to use them unless you have H4 or H7 bulbs.

Yes, use them unless H7 or H4, as the included info said.
I plugged it all in and they both came on instantly, no problems.

I was looking at purchasing the OPT7 LED headlights and Cree fog lights before I traded my 2015 and have been trying to figure out what LEDs to go with on my 2016. Thanks for the post answered all my questions and looks great! Fixing to order the H11 and Cree fog lights!

Don't do this, you are going to blind oncoming traffic. Fog lights aren't meant to be a significant light source, therefore the lens isn't aimed or centered at all. By putting the high power LEDs in there, it will be as if you are driving around with your high beams on.

I don't know how true this is, I guess its "possible" the fog location throws light too high and hits oncoming traffic. Plenty of members here in this tread have done both sets, and nobody has commented on that issue. I personally will be keeping the H11s in both Fogs and Lows.

It's hilarious how the web sites state that the Opt 7 H11 does not fit the 2016 Toyota Tacoma.

But since that's not true, I am considering these.

Everyone notices a huge improvement in lighting and visibility, I take it?

You forget people like driving with their fog lights on as normal operations. I wonder if they turn them off when it actually is foggy outside...

From what I gather, the light is "cleaner" to some being white over the yellow stock. It also appears not to go as far down the road as halogens, but lights up a shorter distance better.

No that's when they turn on their Off-Road LED bar because obviously more light is better. :D

It's not rocket science, the fog light lens has no focusing or aiming value at all. So what your doing is taking a high power LED and spreading the light everywhere. Your only gain from this is GREAT Illumination of the road for about 6 feet, otherwise your just being a nuisance to opposing traffic.
