Yea it wasn't good. He stood it up, but the bar was way out in front of him, which I think was part of why he was falling back. As soon as I saw his toes come up I was waiting on a hyperextended knee or something as he stepped backward.[/user]

Damn. good point. I mean, he doesn't have to come out and tell him he's a crossfitter. He can just tell him he lifts.

BUT...he IS a crossfitter, and they do like to tell everyone they crossfit.

Really putting a kink in this plan....

Using the lower back extension machine and really focusing on squeezing the glutes near the top. It's easy to practice, but when you focus at such high weights are SO INTENSE you usually always forget to squeeze the glutes. I'm in such a focus over #405 there could be a WWII happening right next to me and I'd have no idea. I've had my training screaming at me before and I had no clue lmao.

What I do for banded exercises with the deadlift is stand on them. Not the most ideal way, but we don't have a fancy platform that allows us to hook to them. I'll stand on one end and wrap the bar once or twice and then stand on the other end (one foot on each end). Seems to work pretty good. Love doing that exercise!

Eat more. You don't need supplements. It's as simple as this:

eat a lot. if you don't gain weight after a week, eat more. High protein, high carbs, low/med fat. It's literally that easy.

    x2. I thought I was a badass for getting 405 lol

I started out a super hard-gainer. When I first started lifting, I was eating 5000+ calories per day because I was nothing but skin and bones. Luckily, as I've aged, my metabolism has slowed a little and I can bulk on around 3500 calories. Eating is easy, brah

    Bigger trucks use more fuel!
