Yeah, I definitely concur, these things are built BEAST!!! John, honestly, I forgot you had even told me the name brand? I don't remember you mentioning the "name brand" to me? Either way, yes, I definitely agree with you, I would recommend these also to @TXpro4X4 and anyone else for that matter if you're looking for "hood" mounts for lights and what not. You will NOT be disappointed with construction!

I also found some car blade fuses that I had bought a while back and will keep those in the truck. Going to measure the voltage on the right-side break light like we talked about in Anza.

As far as the lights go test the current (amps), not voltage. There should consistently be 12 volts going throughout the truck. Its the amperage that varies.

 

Okay, agreed on the current, but what should I consistently see as far as amperage goes? Thinking about it, I'll try to find the specs for a Sylvania 1157 light and go from there.

 

I'm not sure. I was thinking since the right one burns out a lot and the left one doesn't, use the left side amperage as a baseline and compare the right side's to the left

 

I'm so freaking excited to drive back out to Califuckyea! I should really get off my ass and take care of my to do list...

I leave in less than 2 weeks!
