I actually don't have a stock bottle jack as the truck didn't come with one when I bought it

Even if it did, my truck is lifted too high for it to work. This is why I have a 60" one of these on the way...

I bought a mount that way but you could drill one. Careful not to ruin threads though

Yeah, that's why I was thinking I'd try to buy mounts that have that hole pre-drilled if possible. What brand did you buy?

I had these. 5 dollars more to get them drilled. I got mine used though. I've heard that they rattle against the bedsides but mine was mounted to the front of the bed near the cab. The hi lift is gonna rattle anyway.

I thought about selling my hi lift due to the new vehicle, but since they can also make good come alongs, I'm holding on to it! I've still never needed a winch...just a few tugs! Mostly in Pismo!

With a block of wood it does. I don't fully trust the hi lift to change a tire unless I really had to. For me, it is just a recovery device and off-road tire changing device.

    haha

I'm actually pondering the idea of changing mine to something that doesn't incorporate "Taco" in it...
