Wondering why the rear seats don't fold down all the way flat in my 2015. Am I missing something? The back of the seats are black plastic which would be nice for the dog to rode back there or to haul something in general. 20160205_114829.jpg

Maybe there could be something blocking the hinges but it's a bit of a snug fit regardless you have to push it a little hard

I have a 2015. When the headrests are flipped up and the seat bottoms are flipped forward, the seat backs pivot all the way and I have a horizontal surface for the dog, cargo, etc. Something's not right or complete with your pics.

I seriously think you sir are the troll...And to update everyone...it was because the headrests needed to completely come off. I was just folding them down before. I think it's dumb of Toyota to engineer it that way. Why would they even make the headrests foldable if there's no purpose for it. Haven't figured that one out yet but oh well. I've been using my drivers side as my Yeti holder. lol.

No I just didn't realize the headrests had to come completely off. We're all good now.

The purpose is to allow (marginally) better visibility out the rear window when the seat backs are up and no rear seat passengers. I took mine out and, so far, have left them out for even better visibility.
