I'm thinking if your hallway stinks like your cab then it was the rubber floor mats causing most of the smell. It should dissipate shortly.

This may actually be a good idea. Heat could speed up the volatilization process, so the VOCs would disappear, or become less strong, sooner. Just need to make sure the truck is well ventilated while doing this.

It will be worse when heat is applied, but should go away sooner than if it was left to volatilize on its own.

You could try stopping by a junk yard. Snag some old seats, and maybe a dash. Remove new seats/dash, cram in recently acquired older stuff. Get creative with a saw if needed to make it all fit. Store your new Tacoma parts outside under a tarp for a while until they are done outgassing. Then replace when ready.

Yea, I had the same issue the first couple times I got in the truck. Started getting a headache. Rolled the window down some and after about a week it went away. So no... you are not alone!

Swing on by later and I'll drag my sweaty balls and stinky ass all over your interior. Problem solved!

Clean the interior and roll the windows down. If you are still adverse to the vehicle, repeat.

After that, I think it might just be you.

Where do you live? It's really warm today and tomorrow in Texas so curing the plastics with the windows down would be perfect timing here.

The real problem is that the OP is sensitive to what all is offgassing. I don't think that's normal, but there is nothing wrong with that.

In addition to the recommendations, you might try sticking some baking soda in there..... They have those little boxes where you can peel the cardboard sides away and expose a perforated bag with the baking soda.... baking soda is good for absorbing smells.... usually it's used for organic smells, but it might work in your truck on the inorganic stuff.

Actually the manufacturers years ago stopped using something in the vinyl because of the off gassing. If you was in a new car 30 years ago it really had that "new car smell" and lasted for months if you didn't smoke in it and kept the windows up. The new cars these days just don't have that intoxicating new car smell. Except in this case but evidently a different type of intoxication.
