Just looked it up the Highlander is FWD or AWD(still biased FWD). Are you sure the new Sequoia is uniboday? I thought it was body on frame still. Honestly haven't really looked at the new Sequoia though.

My sliders just got completed! No Kickout, but top plates so they are easy to stand on.
Why would you go on the roof with no roof rack?

I want a ladder but feel it'd look weird with just Thule crossbars

New Roof Rack time??? I like FR and Relentless, The Prinsu one is really nice if I was going full rack but I thought it looked weird as a 3/4 rack.

Yeah fwd but some Afro engineering could get around that.... I think. That's why I asked if anyone has seen or heard of it.

Anybody else notice that every company that builds sliders has the signature "Kick-Out" design. As if they each individually invented it?

Not that sure no. Just assumed based on the fact everyone says the 4runner is the only BOF SUV left besides the Wrangler
Many reasons. When I was younger I used it 4runner as a means of getting apples off the top of the tree (it was parked under an apple tree for years). Used to clinb all over it. Now I go up there for any number of reasons, mainly as a nice vantage point. Sometimes I'll go to this spot that over looks the lake and I'll sit up there and check out the sunset. That's also how I spent the last 4th of July.

I just got my Thule system and realistically it's more functional that a full rack for what I carry. I feel that kayaks and surfboards go much easier on that than a full rack.

I would use the ladder to boost stuff up there but I feel it'd look a little weird with out a full rack.

Just looked at your build! Damn I really like your rig!

A ladder would look fine since it is so built.

Yeah probably lol. I like to climb on things. When I was little I used to jump in and out of the little sliding window of my mom's Montero instead of using the door. I also occasionally use the tires as steps to get into truck beds. Its more fun that way!

I always use tires as steps. Always helped to have wider tires for that.

Yeah a true. When I was really little I used to go to my friends house and we'd hang in the back of her dad's lifted truck because it was the closest we had to a tree house. Was fun climbing into that thing all kinds of strange ways. I'm surprised he never got mad. Those were good times

Thanks man! Still has a ways to go.

I (think I) read somewhere that the new Savage rear bumper will have a ladder as part of their dual swing out and if that's a case, I'm sold. Someone on T4R got a custom one from CBI with a ladder and factory cross bars and I think it looks fine. I actually like it, maybe a ladder is in my future.

That is pretty cool. I would be afraid to put my weight on a swing out! haha. I really want a swing out this build but my girlfriend would never stop giving me shit for it. I just need to get creative with the spare then...

I like side ladders too. They look cool.
