    That guy was something else.

Back on topic, isn't there some dude trying to get rid of his 4x4 tacoma in Redlands or Big Bear? Said something about it getting stuck in 2 inches of snow and the brakes locking on him.

He posted it for sale in a CraigsList and had previously posted on here complaining about the same stuff the add was complaining about ... I don't have links, but yea, he basically was asking at MSRP for it lol ...

having offroaded my 1st gen taco quite a bit, I will say that my next truck will be 4x4. If you play in the dunes, mud, snow or off camber stuff it is a must. high speed desert only in CA then 2wd will suffice. I am not sure if I would jump to trd but i think the rear locker will be worth the extra 2k.

Remember, in Mexico it's pronounced Heep, as in that heap of shit left me stranded out there.

It's meant as a joke. I almost got into racing the Jeepspeed class in a Cherokee this year. As with every brand, a few well done mods can increase their longevity a long ways.

:pJust a gentle ribbing, my first was actually a mail jeep my dad got for me in high school, we used license plates and pop rivets to fix the gaping holes in the floorboard.

Lol, nice. My dad has a 53 Willys that the previous owner stuffed a 289 into. That's a fun truck to dive. A bit hair raising to be doing 90+ in though. The non-synchronized first can also be a pain.
