well my mother died when i was 8 and my father was forced into early retirement after he spent all of his life savings ( over 1 million ) in medical bills keeping her cancer at bay until the cancer won. Ive worked since i was 14 starting on a local farm to help keep the bills paid... When i was 17 my father had a stroke and we almost lost our house.
When i was 18 i bought a house and my father lives there now. So... my parent never bought me a car or anyhing like that... My father gave me the knowledge and skills and ethics to work my ass off and take care of myself. The knowledge and skills have done way more for me than being gifted a new truck. im greatful and everything my father has done for me has done more than any vehicle he could have given me.

So it really irratates me when people go around saying "i bought" or "my parents say i cant mod the truck they gave me" or " i cant wait to get my new truck and go mob dez" or " if my parents buy me a vehicle im not going to settle with base i want TRD" Most young people are snot nosed brats that have everything given to them and are still ungrateful...These brats usually treat the truck like shit ruining it and mommy and daddy buy them something else and they dont learn anything from it...:rant:Rant over

EDIT: Currently im a feild service engineer servicing MRI dedicated to the prevention and early detection and removal of breat cancer... www.AuroraMRI.com

The op told us of the new trd tacoma prerunner that when you get stuck you push a button and the rear wheels lock and the front wheels pull you out. and you dont even need 4x4. Its really sweet, i wish my tacoma had that...:)

To Yotoda, sorry for your loss. Losing a relative especially a parent is harder than hell. What I mean by anything though was like food, shirt, pencil, etc... it was a total joke lol.

    :threadjacked:

Even if someone was to offer a vehicle for me to get around in, go to college, go to work... i wouldnt say "yea i want a 30k tacoma" i would say well i want something cheap reliable and practical. "get me a yaris..." cheap, good on gas, cheap ins.,etc... "I'll work to get myself a tacoma, and pay for my own mods and such."

Someone offers to buy me a car to get around in; who the hell am i to make demands on what it is and be picky about the setup?
