For those with the TRD Pro 17" Black or Grey wheels are you re-using your stock lug nuts or do these require the TRD spline drive lugs?

Can't find a clear answer on the net and have a set on order.

    Thanks

You can re-use your lug nuts with the TRD Pro's, I just installed a set of these yesterday and no issues at all.image.jpg

Apologies, but man.. those TRD wheels look horrific with the stock TRD sport tires. You need some AT tires for them to 'look right' !

I know, its in the works. I ordered a set of KO2's 275/70 at Costco here in Puerto Rico but they are on backorded for 3-4 more weeks...

I already have a set of King coilovers to go with them as soon as they get here so hopefully they'll arrive soon.

Believe me, I dont like the look either but I already had the TRD Sport wheels sold so it was now or never haha.

Got to call BS on that the wheels good regardless..What does very Taco have to go Billy Bob and rumble down the road with lousy handling/poor gas mileage... jmho

It's the 'off road' style of the wheel coupled with street tires.

Kinda like it would look ugly if you put say AT tires on BBS wheels.

My comment was for the style of the wheel matched with the tires.

I was gonna buy the same wheels in gunmetal, but I just couldn't get past the look - I have the same tires! I figure I need to get new rubber a long with the wheels and i'm not ready to do that --- yet.

The TRD sports came with either the toyos or Firestones.

Gotcha, like the FJ's, the manual trans came with different tires then the automatics for some reason. Doesn't matter, my new rims and tires have arrived and are patiently waiting in the garage.

I agree. I was going to go with the TRD Pro wheels on my stock Toyos that came on my Sport, but instead opted for BFG KO2's and to keep the stock wheels. Looks much better, IMHO.

Well, My BFG KO2's handle as well, if not better than the stock Toyos and they are just as quiet. Added bonus is they look awesome. Oh, and as far as I can tell so far my mpg has not changed.

Yes 265/70/r17 fits on these rims with no rubbing issues and no lift.
