    I know nothing about tires/rims. Can someone explain to me like I am 5 the difference between 17x7 and 17x8? Can you fit stock tires on both or do you have to move up to something wider.

    17 means the diameter of the rim, the 8 means the width of the rim.

    so no, your stock tires off your stock rims will most definitely not fit on these FN FX pro wheels. @Edgeplay

    I figured the 17 was the rim height it was the 8 that i wasn't sure about. I figured it was the width but wasn't 100% sure. Thank you.

    So I bought a motorcycle instead of upgrading to the 3rd gen.. Will probably end up getting a 17 or an 18 when they first hit the streets....

    What would I need to do to get these to fit on a second gen?

    I'd look into some Toyo R/T. very quiet. Have had two sets, we just replaced the old ones that we got like 50k out of on a 8000 lb Powerstroke.

    Wax won't do too much to protect vinyl from fading to be honest. As long as you have the decals cut from a quality vinyl like 3M, Avery or Oracal you should be fine. It's when you get into the cheap Chinese vinyls that you start to notice them fade quickly. One of the others I mentioned will last years before showing any noticeable fading.
