Ya but gas man. Although if I go 2nd gen then it would be getting better gas; I do agree that 4x4 would be great but depends on whats in my budget you know
True, but people can still go back there. I'll probably stick with an access cab, I like the long beds. Plus my truck is for me not for my passengers :luvya: hahahahaha

Unless your driving in 4WD 100% of the time it shouldn't affect your mpg all that much.

If you get a stick shift you can improve your mpg if you learn how to drive for efficiency

That's great considering I'm 15 on a 4banger, I usually have a friend sitting sideways back there. In high school I may or may not have had 6 people in my truck... :spy::rofl:
Yaaa I'll probably get 4x4, I love off roading so. That's true I could get stick, although I've never driven a true stick shift. Just the manual crossovers that don't involve a clutch

Its very different. It can be a little difficult to learn in a bigger vehicle like a tacoma or 4runner but once you get it its awesome. I'd be happy to teach you. I got really good at driving for efficiency.

I admit I am the #1 fan of manual trans but now with computer controlled shift points etc it's hard to get better mileage with a manual unless ur going to an extreme to be efficient.
    But still.... save the manuals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like you might as well go first gen then. Get a manual and save your gas mileage. Also less electronic computers to get in your way!
I was pretty extreme way back when at saving gas. I think I could maybe squeeze out a little better gas mileage but man I'd hate that drive.

I do love stick shift though! God I miss it

I'll figure it out if it comes to it. Thinking 4x4 access cab for sure though

Well as long as its not in my 4runner, I'm happy to teach you in whatever whenever. I just can't put my clutch through another person learning. Between me having to learn on it twice and other people abusing it, it probably doesn't have much life left in it

Careful. If you let it build up too much you'll never catch up. That's what happened to me in the 4runner thread while I was at Anza haha

Srsly? GFY. That is exactly what the rear fenders look like on my Taco. Go fuck yourself. Yeah, I felt that it was worth spelling out just for you! Gfy, and then fuck yourself some more.
