Update on this, got the plugs. However, the supplier i got them from didn't have the o-rings in the package with them. I emailed them and their fix was to just send them back. So I did. just got refunded 8 days later.

guess i'll email Hammerhead Designs and tell them about my experience, hope they help.

Also. Took the MSR +1" shift lever off after my last ride. I dont like it, at all. I put the Hammerhead Designs Gold +10mm one on and love it so far.

also gave the bike a wash and took some artsy pictures :D

Felt like its time to actually sit down and make a list of everything the bike needs done....

    This should be brutal.

    The Bike Needs (soon):
    Front/Rear tires installed
Front/Rear Galfer Gold Stainless braided brake lines installed
    Front/Rear EBC brake pads
    New Spark plug
    Valves checked
    New gold chain
    Front/Rear sprockets
Hammerhead Designs Gold Engine plug kit
Four new bikemaster turn signals (because i'm too cheap and lazy to buy the upgrade board for my DRC tail light to have integrated turn signals)
    MCCT gasket replaced

Undecided on what sprockets and what chain....I know I want a lighter/stronger sprocket set and a gold chain....I also know I want stock tooth setup on the rear, but i'm not sure if I want to keep the 1tooth down up front. I'm leaning towards keeping it (and just doing FCR/cams for more top end since the bike still seems to fall on its face about 90mph)

We are about an hour. I go out there kind of often. My friends owns a custom restoration body shop there. I like to see what his projects are.
I hope Matt's 300 can make it over the mountain. We went out on Sunday, and I kind of took off on him for a few min. Then I took a nap waiting for him to catch up :bikewheelie:

50W is a nice route to get to Winchester if you want to go in the summer. It passes through Middleburg and Aldie. 7W is kind of boring..

Seriously? I thought you were past 6 by now

Just be sure you do a spark plug and valve check at ~7500

Think of how many miles are really on this thing with as much time as that front wheel has spent in the air not spinning at the right speed :D

Holy crap! That seems so scary on a dirtbike. I'm terrified of mine and the throttle lol

Also people say I have a ton of miles....

For a two stroke, yeah. I'd say.

But hopefully you have maintenance records. I wouldn't buy a uses smoker without them.

Safer to buy a used smoker without records than a used 4 stroke. Super easy and cheap to maintain and replace everything on a 2 stroke compared to a 4. But yeah mine has had the top end rebuilt.

    I disagree nearly completely.

The only thing the two strokes have is that they are cheaper and easier to rebuild. But they need it way more often.

Look at it this way. You have 5200 miles on your motor and the top end has already been rebuilt once. While my bike has 7100 miles on it and hasn't even been opened up to check the valves yet. It won't need a top end for probably 30,000 more miles. Chew on that for a minute ;)

But 2 stroke braaps are life. I look at it like a turbo'd vehicle. Yeah the turbo'd one isn't gonna last as long as that v8 without some maintenance but the experience will be a blast. And you will have similar power with half the displacement. I like all things with motors and wheels so I'm not disregarding one or the other but different strokes for different folks. Literally
