And I was just wondering.. But do you need to say your call sign using the phonetic alphabet every time you say it?

    Yes.
I was, in part because your location says Illinois - Missouri. :)

On FM, I only give it Phonetically if I'm calling into a directed net that asks me to. OR if another ham is having a hard time getting my call sign right. On SSB, I tend to only give my call sign phonetically.

    Per a ham etiquette pdf

Avoid phonetics unless you are asked to do so. When using phonetics, use standard phonetics.
    "Alpha, Bravo, Charlie"... etc.

    Yes.
I'm guessing this Etiquette PDF mentions a mode. Because on SSB, not using phonetics is an excellent way to frustrate old men :)

To add to that what was said earlier, if the transmissions are marginal, and audio is poor, phonetics are good.

Inquiring minds (or at least My Inquiring Mind.) want to know
How tall is the push up pole?
How many levels of guy wires are you anticipating needing?
What rotator is at the top?

What wire are you using for bonding? I ask because it turns out that braided wire is hard to find and I have some 10 gauge multi strand marine grade lying around that I would like to use if it not a bad idea.image.jpg

KN3A here. Been licensed since 1983. I have confirmed 216 DXCC entities via LoTW. I mostly contest and do digital modes, specifically JT65 and JT9. All 100 watts or less with wire antennas.

I just got a 2013 Tacoma after trading in my Tundra last Saturday.

If you are putting a mobile station in your Tacoma, please post about what you do here. I have a 2014 Tacoma and interested in the gritty details.
