I am going through a third party dealer and they told me that there is a shipment with the car i want on the freight and that socal dealers would bid on it then we would buy it from that dealer. He said that it will only happen once a month. Is he BS ing me or is he right?

I say bs....cars get delivered to dealers with allocations. Why would you use a third party, he's got to make money too. It sounds like he is setting you up for a big price tag. I know here all the way out in Hawaii, the dealer here get a delivery every Tuesday, the trucks all come from the Texas factory.

I used to check truck loads in at a Nissan dealership.

I would get anywhere from 2-6 truck loads of cars a day. That being said, sometimes it took a while to get a specific truck or car we were waiting on because the truck drivers pick and choose what they want to haul(usually depending on what each car pays)

I wouldn't use a third party though, they have to make some cash too.

Granted, the amount of cars coming in depends on the dealership.

I worked in the middle of Orlando. They did 600-700 cars a month. So we had LOTS of cars coming in.

Like others said, you might as well contact the individual dealers yourself and tell them what you want. Why pay someone in the middle? If you tell all of the dealers what you want, you will have a bunch of people trying to find your vehicle for free....
