I'm gonna say no. 33s and Sliders are mandatory. Skids, Locker(s), Bumpers and Experience are very helpful.

Elvis is a legitimate rock crawling trail. Leaving the wash to take the dirt bypasses is very questionable in terms of legality and future land access.

Box Canyon, the campsite, and surrounding double track will be fun with Kings.

And FYI, I've started gathering/comparing info on trails from some of my trips (more when I had the truck vs the buggy :anonymous:), the FunTreks book, Virtual Jeep Club, AZ FJ Club, and any other ratings guides or trip reports I can find.

My plan is to get some feedback from the other experienced wheelers in the group, then finalize a post with a progression or prerequisites on the harder rockier trails that can be referenced in AZTW.

For example...if you are comfortable/like taking all the hard options on Backway to Crown King or Box Canyon, then Desoto Mine or Smiley Rock would be a good next step. After that, Raw Deal or Elvis could be on your radar.

They are rated pretty comparable. Upper might be a bit easier than Elvis, Lower is tighter/narrower, but similar. The Terminators are both more of a commitment, less escape options/bypasses.

Yeah. I guess I was getting more at the Terminators wash is much deeper/steeper and narrower. Elvis is probably consistently 2-4 times as wide as 90% of the Lower Terminator wash. It would be tough to turn a Tacoma around and go back down in comparison.

Most of the runs on this and iJonny's Monthly Runs thread are closer to what your truck can do now. So keep watching.

So people are already bailing on this trip due to confusion over dates and what's going on etc. If any more people bail I'll be cancelling it.
