So your bike can go 97. Say you crash going 97 in a textile because, well, it's not a sport bike. I'm sure a guy that crashes going 97 on a sport bike in leather will come out a lot better.

Bike doesn't matter, speed and surface does. Leather is a lot more abrasion resistant than textile is, which is why it's better for the street no matter what kind of bike you're on or the speed you're traveling.

Same here...but thats mostly because the front wheel spends so much time in the air reading 20mph or less :D

dunno why the bikeless dude is ranting so hard...probably, because he's bikeless. ;)

I disagree with you. It used to be everyone started out on two strokes. And newer 2 strokes have a better transition in the low end to the power band than the old rep they have. 4 stroke is easier to ride but a 2 stroke should do better out on the trail with its weight factor. Either way they're all awesome. And I have a 200 dammit! A 250 would be insane.

Anyways, you crashed at 55??? On pavement?? And lived??

Yuh. Slid a bunch, tumbled once. Tore the face off my helmet, broke the armor in the right elbow of my jacket, broke the laces on one of my boots, tore a small hole in my jeans. Little bit of road rash and some bruising. No biggie.

Would not recommend. Especially not on a brand fucking new bike either. :(

But I had/have great people around me that pushed me and helped me to get back up on it right away. For that I am grateful because I love it so much more now that I have that respect for the machine and a better understanding of my limitations.

I bet highway is horrible on that thing, haha. Youll lose any acceleration you have.

Got my derz up to 110 today. Also cruised around with sportbikes around 90 for most of the time. Excited for the bb to come!

Yeah I know. Currently running a 42T, but had a 40T that came with the supermoto wheels. Will probably put the 40T back on since I don't remember too much of a difference.

Was accelerating hard onto an exit ramp with a hump in it, hit a grove where two sections of parallel pavements meet one another, bars started to shake, i tried to chase them as they shook and made it 101520261016292x worse. Next thing i knew the bars were whipping lock to lock, the throttle was stuck wide open and the bike wheelied up, the bars ripped out of my hands, i fell off the right side onto my hip and elbow, slid, tumbled, slid, jumped back up expecting to get run over...but the guy behind me was a motorcyclist driving his commuter car home from work. He saw the whole thing and stopped traffic to make sure I was okay.

The front wheel touched down and the bike slammed down on the right side, it did a 180 and the exhaust hit the curb completely destroying the right rear turn signal, the muffler and spark arrestor. I ran to it (we were about 20 yards apart) picked it up and fired it. It sounded horrible. The guy asked me if i had a phone. I replied, "yes, if this thing stays running, i'm leaving." I got it back to first (from third when i went down) and rode it home, running most stop lights and signs. Got home and stripped all my gear off, took a shower and then took pictures of the bike.

    Damage included:
    Zeta front brake lever
    MSR bark busters
    Raidator plastic right side
    Exhaust plastic right side
    Muffler
    Right rear turn signal
    Broken right side foot peg
    Headlight shroud
    Front fender
    Front fork rash right side
    Broken mirror right side
    Bent mirror left side
Bent bars (only slightly, put 5k miles on them after the crash)

Helmet was totaled roost guard shredded, visor broken, front chin vent broken/sheared off, because i had goggles on with the visor, i was able to open my eyes mid tumble and stop from sliding into the curb
    Jacket remains usable
    Pants remained usable
Shoe laces were replaced (my left shoe lace caught on the gas cap mid dismount and actually ripped apart)
Gloves never touched the ground, i kept my hand clenched and close to my chest

I'd also like to add, Chris (@Sacrifice) sent me his stock exhaust, mirrors, and front fender to get me back on the road.

This thing is a tank. Rides straight and true. Always has.

Only noticeable signs of being down are the fork rash on the right side and the radiator plastic rash that suzuki wanted $134 to replace WITHOUT the graphic :(
