Good afternoon everyone and thanks in advance for fielding my question.

I have a 2012 Tacoma Prerunner. V6 2WD with the factory tow package.

I am buying a trailer (my first) 7x14 utility for hauling firewood. So max load about 6,000lbs including the trailer. Usually less than that. I installed my brake controller and was about to install my Hayden trans cooler when I noticed there was already one mounted to the front of the radiator from the factory. I am now assuming this will be sufficient and I can return the other one. Thoughts?

It is smaller than the one I bought but looks beefier.

I'd leave the stock one and return the one you bought. If anything, to not splice more lines and create more possibilities of a leak.

I installed a Hayden cooler on mine and my trans temps dropped dramatically. I did not have the factory cooler though. I'd guess that it's probably plenty big enough to keep your trans cool. Sometimes I wonder if my trans is TOO cool running at 110-115 around town.

    I wouldn't worry.

If you have factory tow package, you have aux cooler already. Save money and return aftermarket one, because factory one is a plenty.

Thanks for the replies! I took the aftermarket one back and kept the stock one. It also has an oil cooler and some other upgraded features so I think I should be good.

Now just need to get the trailer!
