How much did you negotiate the price of your new Tacoma?

I'm looking to buy a new Tacoma by the end of the month. I've started contacting dealers online and asking for their best out-the-door pricing to compare.

I'm wondering how much room there is for negotiation and how much others were able to negotiate the price if any? I suspect that with the new Tacomas - since there definitely isn't a surplus - there isn't much room to negotiate. Although, the lots do seem to be getting a lot more of them lately.

Did you negotiate? How much did you get off the sticker price?

I've seen some guys in here tell tales of some really good deals. I've shopped 4 dealers and the best I've been offered is $500 off sticker.

    where were you when I needed a non-interested party-negotiator. I paid ~42k out the door. 38.5k was the sale price (trdordc+tow+tech(no jbl)+mats/sill+locks)

$700 off MSRP for me. I'm in the SF Bay Area.

I have found that location is key! If you live in the East Coast or BFE, you'd probably get a better deal. Live near a major metropolitan city? Not so much.

I bought mine is Sept 2015 and paid MSRP. I got it washed at dealership in Rockwall Texas. I asked how sales were and they said they can't keep them in stock or get them very easily: the TRD models or limited. Another Toyota dealership has a few listed $4K ABOVE MSRP!

I have talked to a gentleman from Shrevport who mentioned a few Tacos for sale $1K above invoice.

Good Luck and Welcome to Tacoma World.

I had a dealer within a 3 hour drive of me that had it for 34,500. I just kept threatening that I could easily drive to that dealer and buy it. They eventually caved and gave me that deal plus 1000 off.

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
Called and emailed around, got deals in writing. Went to local dealer said I want this truck for invoice +500. They gave it to me with a bit of haggling for trade in price.

I got 2k off the sticker price and took advantage of the college grad rebate. Pretty much paid off the the sales tax with the discount.

Ordered my Quicksand TRD DCOR SB for 31800. The only adds I put on it was weather matts, tow package and front paint protection. Dealers here don't move from that 37-39k they want from it. Lucky my gf sold cars for lexus and knows people in the business
