Hello folks. Ordered my Quicksand TRDORDCSB on the 01MAR16. Suppose to be delivered on April 18th. It was pushed back a week. The dealer put it in there normal allocated vehicle request so it would get in sooner? Im going to call every Friday to get updates. This Time Frame Sound realistic? I hear about people waiting months for one. Why so long? I'm due to transfer to Alaska in June. I hope it gets here by then. Driving this beast from South Florida to Homer Alaska, then a ferry to Kodiak!

Yep, sounds reasonable for an allocation truck. Mine took just under 5 weeks. Good luck!

Sounds realistic. Mine was to be built on March 8 from the dealer allocation, and I was told it would arrive by early April.

Thanks to a swap between dealers, I ordered on 2/16 and took delivery on 3/05.

On Friday, ordered a Magnetic Grey ORDCSB 4x4 w/ premium tech & JBL, tow package, tonneau cover, bed mat and carpet mats - 36,925 + doc fee ($600) and TTL. Put $500 down. Estimate 8 - 12 weeks for delivery. Pleased with the experience so far as it was smooth and simple and sales guy was experienced and straight forward. Went through Truecar. Dealer: Jack Taylor Toyota - Alexandria, VA (outside of DC) - sales guy is Gary Rogers.

Yeah my dealer tried doing that with other dealers but because this truck is hard to find down here NO DEALER wants to let it go. Dealer told me that others want a 4x4 back in return, which they don't have haha. So we just ordered the one I wanted. I chose the OR without the premium package. I just added the tow, all weather mats and front paint protection.

For me, Credit Union financing was a lower interest rate than Toyota.

For me, it turned out the other dealer desperately needed a Tundra that my dealer had, so my sales rep called me and said, "I can get your exact truck in a couple days if you're ready". Luck of the draw I guess.

Today is the day! My DCLB TRD OR 4x4 I w/ tow and JBL is being delivered down from Dallas and they will be taking my 1999 TRD OR back with them when they leave. I was all ready to drive up and meet them halfway, but they are willing to come to me. Great service from the whole crew at Atkinson South Dallas doing everything via email, text, and phone. I got the exact truck I wanted and a very good deal even though it was a special order. Started trying to order in late September and finally got SOVR accepted in late November. Glad the long wait is finally over!

I ordered mine last week after hours on this forum. It came down to the Wrangler unlimited or the Tacoma. With the new Wrangler coming out this fall - I went this route.
I ordered a Black TRD Sport. Auto. In Canada that's a loaded truck with Nav, heated seats, tow pkg and all.

Certainly excited to hear they can dealer trade for it. I should have it and some photos for Friday!

Well plans might have changed. Truck was supposed to come in today, but was pushed back to Wednesday March 9th (tentative).
Been calling around and another dealer can get the same truck but in MGM (or black) in 1-2 days... He's matching the price, plus giving me an additional 2K on my trade...
I think I'll be making a call tomorrow, to 1-cancel current truck and 2-to order the MGM one.

only a few more days now... I hope... haha

Well, I gave the final go ahead for the order in late September but think I just missed the 2nd chance for a BOS order in September. We went through a couple of unsuccessful BOS attempts in October before they put in the SOVR through in November. Got the order info in December and first ETA was 2/23. Made it to the dealer on 3/4. Now, I get to wait just another day or two...apparently the techs doing the dealer prep inspection Saturday noticed a scuff of some sort on one of the doors and referred it to the body shop to buff it out. Body shop was closed Saturday and salesman was not here this am to get the referral. So the body shop will be working on it this afternoon or tomorrow morning and they will be driving it down tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning. I guess I have waited this long...what is a few more days right?
