Toyota powertrain obviously (22RE, 5 speed, dual transfer cases with lower gears in rear) Same as what I've got, great for gearing options. 22RE is the fuel injected motor versus my carb'd one. But propane resolves running at angles. The 22RE intake with the GotPropane kit is great for turbo-ing :D.

The Dana 44 front axle isn't the best. Comparable strength to Yota, but better steering angle. Full Width is better for stability though.
14 Bolt rear axle is great. Very strong, just big ditch digger center.

Hydro Assist steering good. Front suspension with the Fox Air Shocks is good. Rear suspension with coils is ok, geometry looks decent, could be upgraded to air shocks/coilovers fairly easily.

39 Red Label Krawlers are awesome performers. They get better as they wear.

    Chassis design/layout looks good/solid/safe.
Seats are basic/plastic buckets, will want to upgrade eventually.

    Questions would be...

    What's it titled as?
    General age on all components?
Material used in chassis (DOM good, HREW/mild ok)?
Driver/Owner height for legroom/headroom without massive changes?

Would obviously need a trailer/full size DD.
It's a decent base setup to start with. Will hit all the heavy crawling trails around here.

Why would it be a good/bad idea to lease a T4R for the soon to be wife?

School me cause I have no idea what a lease has in store for me

I never understood putting money towards something when you aren't working towards owning it. You have mileage restrictions and other crap. It just feels like a rental car for 2 years.

Depends on what you want to put up with. Sway Bar and/or Adding Nitrogen to the Air Shocks could mitigate the sway with the extra weight up there. Add a lexan windshield to limit the dust.

But that's why I went Power Wagon.

Yeahh I feel the renting thing. Is there lease to buy programs?
I'm just thinking If I leased I could do it now without a debt show up when I go to get qualified for a home loan

From my understanding, you always have the option to buy it out at the end.

99.99% sure it will still show up. Buying a home, especially after the housing crash = Invasive is an understatement!

Hmm I'll have to think about it. I have a lot of options to weigh out. Never saw myself in a dedicated crawler before. But I would probably tune it to my needs and wants and just pissed people off :D

I like your style of babying the skinny pedal. Though I'm rocking about 12mpgs at those speeds. Best I get is 16 at 55 mph. Thou we shall see how gearing changes that in the next few weeks.

It shows up as debt. I know from experience. I leased my last taco. I would never lease something again. It's a rental plain and simple. It's for those that can't afford a new vehicle payment, but want a new vehicle. It's like a subprime loan. For instance, my $27k prerunner in 2006 and to buy it outright in 2010 was $11k. The lease was for 4 years at 15k a year in mileage at and to pay $20k over that time. I didn't know any better and thought that a lease was better for me. I thought wrong. Don't do it. They will nickel and dime you for everything at the end of the lease if it doesn't come back in the condition you got it in, plus mileage.

Thanks for the info Brian! As far as I know, nobody in my family has ever leased so I have zero knowledge about them.

How the hell? Do you have a larger tank than me? At 3/4 full I only get to 75 miles at most.
