96 miles round trip. Have a commuter car. Got a rockin deal on it, or I'd be driving the truck. Drive the truck for pretty much everything else, have still managed to put almost eleven thousand on the truck since July.

    School bus?

Drivers around here can take their buses home in cases where it wouldn't add many miles to the bus. In some cases, a driver will live very close to the start of their route which in turn is 10-15 miles from the station so it saves mileage and time for both the driver and the company.

I actually know of two people (retired now) who both drove for the same district. They were in a very rural area and happened to be much closer to their routes than to the station. So, the bus company had a diesel tank installed at their house and arranged for regular deliveries because that was more cost effective than having them drive all the way to the garage to get fuel. This was in the 80s and 90s, they have been retired for some time. Tank is still there though!

For me it's a 1.6 mile round trip, but I go home for lunch so that makes it 3.2 miles per day on my bicycle. Truck is just for weekends and trips out of town.

About 80 miles. I run a 1990 Honda Accord that I've had for 6 years as my daily though. Thing has 215k miles stock engine/trans/clutch and is absolutely bulletproof.

The unfortunate thing is that I can't park at my house because I live in the City of Chesapeake, but work for Virginia Beach. I am very close to the city line, (literally, you walk to the end of my block, and if you hang a right, you are in VB, but I'm not allowed to park at my house.

Other problem I could see many people having is no spot to park a 40' long school bus.

What do you drive? They used IC and International for the past 15 years or so here, but this year they ordered Blue Birds. They must have come in cheaper or they were having issues with the ICs.

Since it's a different city, I can't park there. My supervisor said that I could park at my house during the day, but if anything happened to the bus, it'd pretty much be on me. So I just leave it up at the closest VB school.

Yeah, my driveway already has two vehicles in it. I couldn't even fit my truck in the driveway if there was only one car, so I park my truck on the street behind my Dad's truck. There is literally nowhere to park the bus, anyways.
Mine is a Thomas C2 Safetyliner. The one in the pic is not my bus, because mine is a special needs bus (wheel chair lift on it) but this one is the same model, just without the lift. With my truck next to it, of course.

In the VB fleet, we have Thomas C2's, Freightliners, (Partnered with Thomas) Bluebirds, Internationals, and two very old GMC's that generally never leave the garage. Got rid of all the Fords a few years ago. The few Bluebirds we have are very weird and have frequent electrical issues. Their instrument panels are also in a very strange spot.

58 miles round trip 3 x weekly. Use the Taco as I work in the ER and need a reliable driver no matter the weather. I live in a rural area of New England and commute to work on mostly 2 state highways that are "mostly plowed" during snowstorms. (Nice to have GPS when going home late night and I can't see much beyond the hood, or any other tire tracks in a snowstorm).
