    I have a 98 Civic with 190k that I drive most days.
Use the Tacoma occasionally if I need to haul something or just get tired of driving the beater.

Toytec drivers side spacers, Toytec diff drop kit. All Pro u-bolt flip kit, TJM Compressor (permanently mounted), Custom rack for the RTT over the bed, Tepui Kukenam RTT, Toyota Bed Mat, Cobra 75 WX ST CB Radio, and a lot of gear behind the seats.
    My round trip is 52km = 32miles.

I was debating on getting a beater to drive in the summer but the insurance payments on a second car get rid of any potential savings there would be.

I do about 50 miles round trip, but also drive to construction sites during the day. The company gives me a Ford Explorer for commute and work trips - all gas, services, tires etc. included. Sweet deal, since my truck can sit in the driveway for weekend trips only. Including the work trips I do about an average of 150 to 200 miles a day, depending on where the sites are. At one time I had a project in Jacksonville - 4 hours from Sarasota. I would leave at 5:00 in the morning to drive there, have a progress meeting and spend a hour or so on site, and then drive the 4 hours back - every Wednesday for 18 months.

Mine is 60 miles round trip. I still have my Toyota Matrix car that gets like 30mpg. Like others have said the insurance payment negates the gas savings for this amount of mileage. I like to see my truck miles stay low and enjoy driving it on weekends and for fun.

    Yep, I did the math....

Assuming $3/gallon (err'ed on the high side) and vs a car that gets 30mpg. I am paying approx $580 more a year for gas comparitively. Insurance would prob be higher than that, not to mention having to purchase the 2nd car to begin with.

This thread did get me to ask my manager if I can work from home 1 day a week going forward, he had no issue with that. So that at least cuts my commute 20%. The money isnt a factor, but saving some mileage on my truck would be nice...

Mostly International and IC here. Oldest in regular service are 2009s, but there are a few as old as '04 around. They bought a couple dozen ICs every year through 2015, this year they bought all Blue Birds.

Had a friend who was a mechanic for them and he said the ICs are bulletproof as long as they have the DT engines in them. Apparently the ones with the VT365 caused them a lot of problems.

Tacoma is my daily driver during the winter/rainy months, I drive about 40 miles per weekday on average. If the weather is nice, the truck sits and I ride one of the motorcycles.

My average daily commute to and from work is about 60 miles round trip. I use my Tacoma as my daily driver. It has certainly proved its worth during some of the winter storms in the Northeast during 2015-2016.

My commute is usually on the weekend back home from where ever I'm working, I have a work truck so I don't drive much during the week. But my weekend commute is anywhere between 50mi-2200mi one way so that mileage adds up pretty quick for only driving a couple times a month. But I have a second car that I alternate with so that helps a little

80 miles round trip. 20 miles of 4 lane highway and 60 miles of freeway.

Need to get a commuter car. Tacoma has 81k on the odometer and bought it brand new in March of 2013
