Two-stage doesn't equal easy. Rattle can is about as easy as it gets.

I will probably use etching primer and do a frame paid rattle job as I want to be able to touch up as needed. I pan to a use these things!

Would spray-on bedliner work well? That's what I put on my rear bumper and it's held up quite well! Any thoughts?

I plan on using some Monsta-Liner. Use some steel wool for prep, lacquer thinner on the sliders to really clean then up, prime, Monsta-Line, and mount. I plan on coating everything within about 6" of the frame weld. For the last 6" I'll prime it, and then coat with some rubberized undercoating.

    BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
I still have whats left of my gallon of POR 15 I plan on using on them. I used it on my frame and fender wells among other things. Should turn out alright, it's not a show truck after all. But it is a Mississippi truck currently living in Ohio, so we have to take preventative measures. :D

I know it sounds crazy, but spray them with water and let them surface rust before por15 if you go that route. I'll either do that or bedliner for grip and then touch up with rubberized undercoating

I used that stuff on my factory skid plates. My last trip out I stuffed the front end into something solid, and the spray on bed liner pealed off. It was kind of like a rubber coating. The more I read up on most of those do it yourself bedliner systems, they pretty much all say rubberized coating. I am going to try to find frame paint this time and see how that goes.

A buddy of mine just gave me a brilliant idea.

As I ordered my sliders with the fill plate, I am going to mask off the plate and paint the sliders. After the paint has cured I am going to mask of the sliders and bedline the fill plates!

Thought I would share if it inspires others.

I've sprayed the inside of an old jeep with raptor liner.. Pretty good stuff, comes with a sprayer to use with an air compressor. Cures pretty hard but as stated before its hard to keep clean.

If you're going to use roll on liner there's a trick to it. Rather than using the provided roller you can get a very thin nap paint roller. This will put the liner on a lot smoother than the provide foam roller will.

I would like to use something like that, but I am humble and do not have a compressor that could handle that kind of job.

I am looking forward to some good texture if it might be used for a step.

Shopping paints now. Figure it will be four days of prep and paint before these things finally go on. Of course I need to get them first. I feel like a kid three days before Christmas just wanting to rip into gifts.

I was curious to see where these were getting shipped from so I looked you up on Google Maps. Looks like there is a winery and ammunition shop in your area.

Forget Disneyland, steel fab, wine and ammo makes YOUR area the happiest place on Earth!

If you can get your hands on one all you need is something small like a pancake compressor... It requires a low psi when spraying.. The kit runs about $120. Pretty simple, I've also done a truck bed with it. Just food for thought

And roll in one direction instead of back and forth so you do not get air bubbles
