Damn dude, @Mademan925 couldnt get his out either. Must be something to do with the truck being new.

I higher recommend not going the Napa route. There multiple videos and evidence of those things out there grenading. They're so cheap and weak it's not even funny.

I hate to hear the trouble all you dudes are having. I knew I didn't have the time when I did my LT install to mess with the axles so I mailed my Total Chaos mid shafts to CVJ Axles in Colorado and had them build them into a set of their OEM Remans, only cost me $30 per side and they did all the work. I wanted the boots and axles/joints to be in top condition as opposed to any slop and wear that they had accumulated in the previous 60,000 miles prior to me going LT. I returned my stock CVs to them and got my core charge back. I plan to do the exact same thing when I finally get a spare.

Wow. that's cool. didn't know that was possible. I got this shit down now though. I find used oem axles on ebay and tear them apart replace the shafts and add new grease.

    $80 used oem axle
    $34 high angle cv boots
    $3 New C clip
    $20 grease
    $250 all pro LT axle
$20 @JLee to pop the old axle out

    Total $407

After core return cvj axles are $150 with extended silicone boots. Add $30 for them to do it like Nate said and its $180. Can't beat that

Edit: forgot about the extended shaft.. So $480 total per axle

My deal beats that cuz you still have to buy the shaft and I'll have an extra axle when I'm done.

I just remembered to add in the extended axle  not all of us have access to someone like Jerry though  all pro axles are also $50 less per axle than TC

Honestly for me it wasn't bad. Tear down only took like 30 minutes, when the axle broke loose of the birfield the circlip expanded and caught the edge of the pipe and gashed it, didn't want to reuse it after that. Stuff like this doesn't bother me, I now all the parts that make up this CV and the tools needed to fix it.

I think you could have good luck at some of the u-pick yards just to get some OEM's to rebuild.

I wish I could find a 2nd Gen Taco in a junkyard within two hours of me. Remote desert bases suck sometimes!

    Genius!!!!
    :frusty:

Nice CVJ boots and axles dammit I wish I thought of that.

You said it was only $30 per side? Like $30 extra on the normal price to get new rebuilt cvs from them?

Well the shop that I brought the cut off axles to didnt get a chance to do it tonight, I'll be picking them up tomorrow. Got the upper, lowers, toe rod extensions, and Coilovers in. Just need to pick those back up tomorrow to finish building the new axles. Man 35's and long travel are a pain to make fit and get rolling but I know they'll be worth it haha.

This is my work bench right now
