Demello Offroad Bolt on Sliders-

Wondering if anyone has bolted a pair of these on yet. There are 8 holes 4 on the bottom and 4 on the side of the frame. The 4 holes on the side are there already. It uses one of the bottom holes from the transmission cross member the other 3 you have to drill. I set my passenger up in place to check the fit. There are 2 holes I'm concerned about. The furthest forward has a weld right through the middle where two sections of frame meet and the other I think will be OK. It has a pre drilled hole that was used to weld another section of frame from the factory inside the hole. I think I have enough room to drill a hole next to it but wanted to see what others have experienced. I have not set the drivers side up in place but assume it's gonna be the same way. I'm concerned because the experience I've had trying to drill through welds has not been a pleasure. I'm not trying to turn people away from the sliders. They are a very nice product and I still do recommend them. And no judging, yes I used my puppy's kennel to hold them in place. It was the perfect height. If I had gotten the weld yourself set I personally would have had them about an inch or so closer inward and inch or so higher. But I'm sure there is a reason for their placement such as to allow flex or bending of the sliders and keep from damaging the rocker panels like they are designed to.

It honestly depends on the manufacturer. You could get the sliders even closer to the doors but then they would have to be shorter to not hit the fender flares, fenders, or bed sides. Also, when you flex the chassis the body doesn't flex the same and in the event that you use the sliders as they are intended (sliding on/off rocks and/or dropping down onto a rock) they could theoretically flex up into the body causing damage as well.
There's a fine line between clearance, looks, and function.

I ran a few different sets of sliders back in the day on my FJ and I know what works for me functionally and what I like as far as looks go. I chose to run the hybrid DeMello sliders because they look awesome and provide the protection I need.

Ok sorry in advance, I have looked and can not find it. I saw a post with an led mounded under the hood and can not find it now. Would like to have a light under the hood but not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

so my truck was making a grinding noise from the rear diff.... found it 1 qrt low on fluid so im also gonna have the dealer check the Transmission fluid once the fluid hits the right temp. oh and my drivers seat is being replaced as we speak.

I was thinking of incorporating some kind of army green onto mine, but I think I'll just go with an army green license plate or something of that nature...
