I disassembled the G21, oiled it, reassembled it. I seated the recoil spring correctly. Pulled the slide back, released it and heard something click. Disassembled it again and when i pulled the slide off the spring just fell out.

If it is worn out, I would buy an OEM one. They are strong and last for a few thousand rounds. People use the OEM one for 3k - 5k rounds.

I've never had any issue with the normal springs

They must do ok since theres tons of conversion kits to use a Gen 3 recoil spring/guide rod in a Gen 4

If you're anywhere near Smyrna/Atlanta go ahead and stop by the Glock headquarters. They'll replace any factory parts for free and the gunsmith will take a look at anything else wrong with the gun. I've heard nothing but good things from people stopping by to have a gunsmith look at their Glocks. Get a free factory spring and if you still don't like it, upgrade after.

If i wasn't on the other side of the country I would definately swing by there, that would be pretty cool. Too bad its not a ruger, i could be at their HQ in no time.

Yeah, interesting guess its to help make it more reliable.

I've never had an issue with stock recoil springs or guide rods, but I'm gonna buy one of the Lone Wolf ones for my RTF2 next payday along with an Alpha Wolf conversion barrel for my 31...maybe...def buying the stainless guide rod

Pretty sure it's madness, though. What did you spend on that gun? Why not spend $30 to get an actual leather IWB holster for it?

Right at $400. I just had everything layin around for this, and i wasnt exactly sure what holster would fit it right. Since i knew my owb fit perfect i just used it as a pattern and flipped it over so it would work iwb right handed. Also thats a pretty big gun and i really didnt wanna buy it and never cc if it was uncomfortable

Just don't blow your nads off!!!

I have never figured out why some prefer to carry at that location.....

I will see if I can find the pics of my buddy that pumped one into leg and just missed his femoral artery when he put the gun back into that location of carry....

    I personally prefer that location

Easier for me to keep a firearm concealed than along my back belt line and easier/quicker to draw in many situations for me...I only use hard holsters that completely cover the trigger guard though, and I NEVER reholster...I pull the holster out and put the pistol in the holster and then tuck it back into my pants

Bought some more ammo, hollow points for the intruders and regular 165 grains for the range. Trying to see if I like the 165 compared to the 180 FMJ
