Go down there yourself. They know she doesn't own the truck and a woman, typical dealer sh*t. Bet if you went down there it would be different, as was when the tech could hear it.

That sucks! When I had my 2010 Tacoma AC manual... It squeeked so bad it was driving me insane. However I leased it and was naive and didn't think about taking my truck to the dealer at all when I was younger. Now I'm going to utilize them as much as I can and not waste a drive in unless I know I can duplicate every issue I find.

Oh well, I hope you get it resolved with the dealership... If it were me I would wedge each leaf open and slide in a Teflon shim.... Might wear out after a while but would most likely fix it I think

Just posting this for anyone reading, according to west coast Toyota, the fix for the MT clunky shifting IS torquing the prop shaft and lubing the u-joints. Here is the email I got back today from them:

    Good morning Mr. Bolen,

Service indicates that your advisor Jimmy verbally asked the tech to lube and re-torque the prop shaft. It seems that as you mention, this has resolved the clunk. This work was not mentioned on the work order it was only a verbal communication. We have made a note of it on your file so that there is a record of it.

For the 1,000km these are the checks that they do:

    1. Under hood inspection for fluids

    2. Tire pressure check

    3. Undercarriage inspection

    4. Wash + vac.

There is no physical check list for this particular service unlike the safety inspection where there would be a printout available. If you have additional questions, our Senior Service Advisor Ammar Ahmed would be able to help you at 604-465-9146 ext 117.

Please let me know if I may be of additional assistance.

    Sincerely,

    West Coast Toyota

Do you need to know, or care?
Another option is to have them take it into the mall parking lot next door and run it over the speed bumps. Sometimes just bouncing it with your hands doesn't put enough compression on the springs to hear it.

The leafs have anti friction pads from factory so the tech was thinking mine may be missing one.
