What are the differences between the extended travel front king shocks and the conventional? I'm hearing it's just a spacer/washer inside. The extended travel is more expensive by a couple hundred bucks over the conventional shock. If that's the main difference then I might as well buy conventional and remove the spacer/washer.

Can anyone verify/negate or add to this?

    Thanks

The extended travel adds an extra inch of downtravel, but remember you'll have to buy some aftermarket upper control arms with those. Not sure about the washer thing. Wheelersoffroad.com and others I've seen offer the extended version free of charge.

What was said above. Non extended travel have an internal spacer that limits travel. Extended travel just shortens that spacer. I would recommend DownSouth Motorsports above all else. They are the TW shock gurus. You can tell them your exact setup and what kind of terrains you like and they will valve it perfectly for you. Plus you're supporting a local business! Go with the extended travel Kings. Even if you don't get UCAs immediately, someday you will and that extra inch of travel will be waiting. @downsouthmotorsports
