    Specs on truck...

2013 DLB cab trd 61,xxx miles w/supercharger 2.85 URD pulley (pulley installed 6 months ago).

Has anyone ran into this? When I start from a dead stop and smash to a WOT my EFI fuse blows when the RPM's get around 5000+. As long as I don't smash it, it will not blow the fuse...

Since I have the supercharger, I isolated the cooler pump and connected it directly to the battery for a short time while I take that out of the picture. The only other thing I think it might be is a bad fuel pump or the pump can't keep up with the SC and I am running lean???

Also when the EFI fuse blows the truck goes into "limp" mode and pretty lights come on the dash. Scared the crap out of me the first time.

truck does have an extended warranty so if it is the fuel pump, it will be covered.

Is it the 20 Amp EFI Fuse or the 10 Amp EFI No 2 Fuse?

If it is the 10 ampere EFI No 2 there is a lot coming off that fuse I would suspect the Air Switching Valves 1 and 2 and the Air Purge to the exhaust system.

If it is the 20 Ampere EFI fuse I would suspect the fuel pump or the fuel pump resistor.

    It's the 10 amp fuse.

Don't the fuel pumps run the same all the time and pressure is regulated by fuel pressure regulator? Or are these fuel pumps pulse modulated like injectors? I wonder if throttle position sensor could be shorting to ground at wide open.

Here is a screen shot of the torque app...since that fuse looks like it regulates more then one part/system, it has me chasing my tail.

Note this screen shot is after the fuse blows.

Just weird that it only does it from a dead stop to WOT.Screenshot_2016-03-05-18-31-00.jpg

I'd do a careful check for wiring harnesses and O2 sensor leads pinching as the engine torques over under full load. Most torque against the motor mounts is WOT in first gear = most movement of the engine. Start with the simple stuff.

    I agree 100%.
Let the engine idle and do a wiggle test on the engine wiring harness.
Try not to move the harness' too much as you may correct the short and not know where it is.

I would look around the supercharger assembly, since that was the last mod on the engine.

This is crazy...on the way to the movies the fuel pump fuse blows. I did a quick check of the wires before we left and found a pinched one going from the front of the engine by the oil filter. It was pinched by the pullet bracket.

I will be going through it more once I get back home...

You guys were right..the dealership stated and there were wires that have rubbed on a bracket for the supercharger.

Wished I had more time to spend on looking for the short. Would have saved a few bucks. I'm going to the other dealership that installed my supercharger and will try to get them to reimburse me for the cost.

I really appreciate everyone that helped.

Before and after pics. Supercharger hose clamp rubbed through my main wire harness on the firewall.

^ if that was the fix, you need to open up that loom and repair the messed up wires.

That is the first thing I asked if they did. I was assured they corrected it right. When I get some time I will be opening it up myself to double check for my peace of mind.

 Good job. Suprised they routed the hoses like that originally in the first place.

Mine is doing the same thing, only under full throttle also. Same set up blower w/ the 2.85 pulley. The dealer has had it for 2 days trying to figure it out. I just sent them a link to this thread lol. Thank you for posting this as i hope this is my problem also and can get it back sooner then later. IMG_1079.jpg
