    I need some help...what would achieve the most lift and best ride? 886 vs 887 on a dcsb 4x4 with a steel plate bumper and winch setup. It seems that the 886s are the way to go but I hear so many complaints with them. I know the 887s are higher with a lower spring rate which would be a better ride but would sag more due to the extra weight up front. I've read about 30 pages on this thread and I'm looking for some help. Thanks

    887 is the same as an 885 but slightly taller. They were designed for trucks with little to no extra weight.

    The 886 was designed for those of us who want plate bumpers and winches.

    I'm installing plate bumpers and winch this weekend. I have 887's. If you want to wait a few days I can report back.

    Yeah, those estimated lift numbers are based on change over stock suspension. My starting point happened to be somewhat different!:)

    I can't wait to load my truck up with some crazy weight and drive across country. Only one more week until then! If all is well with my suspension come Cali i'll get into the swing of trying to break everything. Want some Moab pics?:cookiemonster:

    So what is everyones opinion on running the 887s with no extra weight? Would it give you over 3 inches? or should I stick to the 885s w/ the top-plate spacers...?

    I got about, or just under, 3" on 887s with no extra weight. I think they ride just fine.

    Yeah, those usually come from the clowns that install them without at least 130+ lbs up front and then complain.

    Anyone have any success with fixing the Dakar leaf spring squeak?

    I've heard change out the bushings and that is where the squeaking is coming from.... Anyone have luck with changing em out or have recommendations for fixing it?

    Put pond liner in between the springs. I think that's what oz did. Mine don't squeek.
