Noticed power differences between off road and a sport, surprised.

Here I thought that it was just wind resistance from the ultra cool hood scoop that the Off Road guys wish they had...lol

Why would I need a hood scoop to nowhere?

Lol, and I get it. When I bought my 06 I didn't like or want the scoop. Now that I've had it on my 13 and 14, I like it. All except for the fact that it constantly gets packed all around it with bugs and you have to flush them out with a hose.

Every engine is different. How tolerances add up with multiple parts and such.

Back in the younger days when I drove a cheap Civic, a buddy and I went to the local 1/4 mile dragstrip for some fun one Saturday. His car was the about the same as mine, same engine and transmission, but his was newer with half the miles and didn't burn oil like mine would. We both had the same cold air intake and a more open muffler.

We lined up five times, I beat him five times, and it was always by half a second or more. I was trapping 82 mph and he was down around 77 mph. My car would pull away more and more in every gear.

The kicker, I had two more doors and weighted an extra 80 lbs on the scale. My engine would go through an extra 10 quarts of oil between oil changes but I'll be doggone that the thing didn't make good power for a single cam 1.6L.

I was wondering if might be lower gearing in the off road version also.

Back when I was 20, my buddy and I both had 1993 Camaro Z28's. Both automatics, but mine had a K&N filter and Flow master muffler. His bone stock. He would always beat me by a half of a fender every time.

What he said- it makes sense to look at your rear view mirror as opposed to a screen! IMO its a genius idea, my wifes car has the camera on screen- yeah it looks cool/bigger but IMO a total waste. I have both options as my wifes car has it on screen and my previous truck had it on screen as well- id take the camera in rear view mirror over screen anyday!

In fact- my brother in law thought i added it- he wanted to have same set up on his GM that his it on screen.

Just my two cents-bump for rear view camera on mirror!!!
