That's my plan. May not be the prettiest thing right now but who cares, its a project car. Wouldn't be any fun if the thing was brand new and perfect

Part of the reason its taking so long. I'm taking the down time to perfect the interior. Pulled the seats out, gonna vacuum all the dirt out of the carpet, redo a lot of the trim, make it all purty :D

    2nd Gens FTMFW!
Eventually, I will be building bumpers for mine, so I'll have a bit less to worry about. The bumpers me and my buddy built for his third gen 4runner and a friend of ours who has a slightly newer third gen are beast, and we will be building a similar one for mine. The other guy that we built one for already tested his- a brand new Tacoma ran into him almost head-on, just a bit off-center. Brand new Tacoma was totaled- our buddy only had a busted corner light. Chick that was driving the totaled Tacoma said "Damn, I need one of those!" :D
So I think I'll be fine in my "Unsafe second gen" once I build those bumpers.

That's awesome. I wish I could throw the 3.4 I'm rebuilding right now into one of mine, but it's not my engine to do that with. :(

The one hesitation I would have with a 2nd Gen would be the 3.slow

 Nah, it's my best friend in the whole world's engine. Plus, I'm the only other person with keys to the garage.

Nearly non existent. Right now I'm at the stage where nothing is actually in one piece so the thing looks terrible. Once I get the switches I'll start rebuilding it

Yeah, that's the one thing I'm uneasy about. But I guess if one of mine blows a head, it'll be easy for me to fix. Done it a bajillion times. And I still have my 1st gen 5 lug Tacoma to drive around, so I'll be ok.

I would too if I had the cash. It is more than I paid for my Runner w/ E-locker though and has more miles. But that 5-speed though
