You want to get the area dry as soon as possible too prevent I went and rented a dehu and blower when I had my leak. I took the humidity level down below 20% in the wood and drywall then let it stabilize at about 30% before sealing it all back up....But I maintain a 30/45 % in my house anyway depending in seasons.

Don't have room for that stuff with the carpet pulled back. Room isn't that big. Area will stay open / uncovered for a week or two, to be sure it's dry

Did a little waterproofing of the home today. Sunny day in the 70s, perfect silicone caulking weather!

Bed could use sweeping out. Spring cleaning is next on the agenda!

Yeah mostly. For the last 6 months no, but for the 6 before that yes. I'll be back in the truck for the foreseeable future starting next week.

Spread out and tilled in some mulch for the future lawn. That little tiller attachment is a bit undersized for 500 sq/ft, but I already have it and it's cheaper than renting a bigger one.

I had to break my hard clay up first with a hoe and the scarifier on my SandPro after a good soaking rain.

I know your pain. I grew up in clay-rich suburbia. After the inch and a half of "top soil" it may as well be concrete. Not fun!:annoyed:

    Whatcha plannin on growing?

Since everyone else has removed their grass, I figure there's enough water saved so I can plant my lawn.

My uncle removed all the grass in his yard and put green rocks in after the HOA got on his ass about it being brown when it got chinch bugs... the HOA sued him but he won since there was nothing in the docs that said the yard needed to have grass they changed the rules after that....

Then he put a Tombstone in a corner plant bed that said "here he rests the last damn mother fucker that messed with me" damn I miss that guy RIP

Vegas is too dirty for me. In fact, I stay away from most any city in Nevada!

At least those fuckers can boast shoreline on Lake Mead!

When wet (like after a good rain or an overnight soak with a hose) it's the most pleasant digging I've ever done. If it's dry, I'm pretty sure it would meet DOJ Level IV ceramic plate standards.
