I have the k9 2.2 rack sitting in my garage waiting to be installed! Waiting for some fam to leave town.
Was hoping to be able to take it on or off with just 2. Maybe store it on a rolling rack the level of the truck roof?
I could have People come over to help just didn't want to rely on that.

    Some stuff here and there....
Yeah I now that. Thats why I edited. Plus being able to get in the bed to bolt it on is easier than the 4runner aswell.

With the K9 rack you may have to get some different hardware. And install the bottom rails on the tent perpendicular to the hinge (standard installation is parallel to the hinge). Since the rails on the K9 rack run front to back on the vehicle and are extra wide the standard hardware and configuration of the rails won't work.
@Cascadia Tents do you have any recommendations for mounting the tents to a K9 / eezi awn type roof rack?

I'm ordering the Rainier so I'm thinking the same thing.

For those who leave it on their truck...do you have security bolts or locks on the RTT?
Do you take your truck everywhere...work? Stores?

Mine stays on 7-8 months of the year. I don't have the security bolts on the tent but I do have locks on my thule bars. It would take a good 20-30 minutes for someone to loosen the bolts and free the tent...plenty of time for someone to notice and call attention to the situation. Plus most folks don't have any clue what the damn thing is or what its worth so I don't worry about people messing with it. Its nice to have on the truck when you're in a busy parking lot and cant remember where you parked...the tent tends to tsand out amongst the crowd :D

I talked to Paul from eez-awn and asked about the mounting kits. He told me if its a soft foldable tent then it should mount right up on the k9 rack. If it's a hard shell then I should get the kit. Anyone else have a k9 rack with a CVT tent on it with mounting issues?

What about a Prinsu Toprac? Anyone have experience mounting it to this setup and do you need a set of Thule or Yakima bars? I want hoping could just plop right on the Prinsu.

I just ordered a prinsu cab rac but not going to throw my rtt on it. I'm having a bed rack fabbed up for the it. However, you can probably find the answer to your question here:

Does anyone have any photos of a 55" fan out mounted to a truck with a canopy? Wondering how it effects opening the back glass and if it's large enough for my application.
