Well gentleman today was my first real leg day since hitting the gym again. My day has gone like this so far, Got up at 3:30 a.m. Drove from the Gf's in Downtown LA to my parents house in Orange county dropped off my pup, was in the gym by 4:30 a.m. Did lower body today.

Started with squats 3x8 @ 135 :anonymous: I can't wait to move real weight here

    Then hack squat 3x10 @ 185
    Then calf raises 3x15 @ 185
Then straight bar dead lift 3x8 @ 135. I only took my preworkout before and ended up puking in between my 2nd and 3rd set of dead lifts. Finished those out and felt much better.
    Then leg curls 3x15 @ 110
    Then leg raises 3x10 @ 90.

Idk if that's good or not but that's where I'm at for legs. I look like a baby deer walking and it's only 7:30 a.m. now. Ribs will be a reward from the gods tonight.

I ran 3 miles in under 30 minutes :spy: almost collapse when I stopped running. Could barely walk the next day. I want to start running on my non leg days.

    Stair Master helps legs ...

When I'm trying to get into shape for backpacking trips I use the Stair Master quite a bit. It's a lot harder than it looks...

Now that I think about it, that probably doesn't help most of you. You guys can flex your quads and see all kinds of muscle...I dream of the day I have that

Also, spotted this gem at the gym. Awesome boots/shorts combo. She took more selfies in the hour I was there than I have in my entire life

T bar row. Loved that thing in my old gym. Now I've got the bar that slides in the pivot arm and it smashes my nerds on every pull

Back from the Bahamas boys, well almost. Sitting in the ATL airport. Final destination Raleigh, NC at around 9:30 tonight. Summary coming later after I get home and weigh myself to check the change from the day I left through today. I've got a feeling I won't like what I see :anonymous:

I love it. The regular row bar without the chest piece in my pic is good, but you can't go too heavy b/c your back arches. This one keeps you strict. I still alternate between them, though. I also do these two, which are a good way to mix it up, too:

Ha you're like 30 miles from me right now! At least your functioning, man! The whole way back from Mexico, I had the cold sweats and was shaking from alcohol withdrawals! We went a little crazy the last night there. Hopefully you didn't get too fat lol

I got home froem Iceland Sunday night and dos legs Monday morning. Only did 3x10 on squat instead of 4x10 or 5x5 and I can't walk today. Tomorrow is going to be worse.

Working 12 hour days this week so my workouts are going to be non existent for the most part. Gunna have to go in on the weekends and try and get the muscles going after not hitting them for a few weeks

Man, sick again. This might be the worse year yet. I usually get sick once and it's a very minor cold that I can deal with. This is the second time that has me actually feeling crappy.

I took a day or so off, went when I felt like I was recovering. I can't workout with a stuffed head though.

Finally took a day off from the gym. Went and played volleyball for about 2.5 hours. First time playing In a while. Gonna be sore tomorrow. All those checks are days I've been at the gym...probably a good time to take a day off.

Stayed lurking for the week while I was gone when I had down time (usually before falling asleep) so here is my week off multi quote to catch up
    [IMG]
lolol had me laughing in the airport before I left. Luckily my wife didn't ask me what I was laughing about. Would've been hard to explain that one

:rofl:saw a dude like this on my trip and had just seen this post

my buddy that got me into lifting always said 'tomorrow' when someone would ask.

mine too. I think she gets a little intimidated sometimes and thinks I'm going to go off and find a fitness chick like in your gifs. She cray though

Saw this pic and told my wife our next trip was here. Looks so awesome. And that happened sitting on the beaches in the Bahamas if that says anything about how awesome this looks.

me too. If I have time to think about it I end up sucking in or trying to flex awkwardly and look like I don't even lift...which I don't

Congrats! I joined at 160lb too(290b/350sq/365dl) but now this bulk has made me weak. I bet I couldn't get it up right now. Heavy=not stronger just soft

This thread got a little out of control while I was gone

I'm reading 'Lone Survivor' and he keeps talking about their 4mile time which is something like 30min. I can't even imagine. I can run a 5k (3.1ish miles) in about 30minutes but 10min/mile is me all day

Yeah that's the bar we have now. total teabag smasher

This was my 4th trip to an all inclusive so I am becoming quite the pro. The first time I couldn't figure out what drink to have so I kept mixing and matching everything I could think of and that was just a terrible idea. The past couple times I knew to stick with 1 drink all day and then switch it up at dinner. I went with what they called a 'Low Pressure'. It was a strawberry daiquiri and a pina colada mixed with blue Curacao and it was so good. At dinner I would have a rum + diet coke and then post dinner I usually had a mud slide.

I haven't decided if I am lifting today or not. I may take the day off to rest/recover from all the traveling yesterday and past week of debauchery.

Ok - weighed in this morning. Actually weighed in last night once i unpacked before bed too but I like to call my morning weigh ins 'official' just to stay consistent.

Last Tuesday(left for vacay at 3am Wednesday morn) I weighed in at 168 with a BF of 10.58. That is 17.77lbs of fat. Today post trip I weigh 172.2 with a BF of 10.88. That is 18.74lbs of fat. Gotta love high metabolism :bananadance:

I ate like a doodoo and drank like a pirate for 6 days so I'm pretty pleased with the minimal gain. I know I am going to have to take a dump later that will rival giving birth so I imagine if I weighed again after that I may be back to my starting weight. I usually just can't go away from home. :notsure: Although day 3 hit me hard and I spent a good part of the day going back and forth to the bathroom. That day may have been my saving grace on not gaining more weight.

As far as lifting goes - they didn't have yoga everyday like I had hoped, only on Sat/Sun so my wife made me do other stuff since she 'felt guilty' but not being active. One day we did a pilates class and a couple days she made me go to the gym. I just tinkered around with some legs for 20ish minutes and walked on the treadmill on an incline until she was done.

I did start reading Lone Survivor (I've seen the movie) and the backstory about the training for the Seals got me so pumped to change up my regiment. I'm going to get a new plan and start it tomorrow. For anyone here who was a Seal (or any military) you are all total BAs
