Speaking of them, this game vs. NYI is atrocious ! Tied 1-1 right now but jeebus, I thought Isles were on PP cuz the peppering is THAT bad.

Pitt D is non-existent, I don't see this team much and amazed they are were they are in the standings.

 

It's amazing what winning will do for a franchise. I have never been to Tennessee, but I have a hard time imagining people showing up for games if the team is sitting near the bottom of the division

 

Their defense isn't elite, but I suspect they are just having an off night.

 

This is true I have seen it through the years with the Caps as my family have been season ticket holders since the late 70's. It use to tick me off but its just the way it is I suppose.

 

When I was in Tennessee a few years ago during the lockout, people openly talked about the lockout without being prompted about it with the same sort of mixture of disappointment and anger as anyone who watches pro hockey. While the town might not be as hockey crazy as a Canadian market they definitely seemed to follow the Preds more than people in other areas of the USA that I've been too that aren't traditional hockey markets.

 

So Tom Sestito is playing for the Pens , glad for him , I liked him on the Canucks , I thought he was done in the NHL

Congrats to Reimer. Like I've said before he's a very good goalie that was under appreciated by TO management. Actually, it was more like TO backed the more sound "structurally and technically" goalie in Bernie even though Reimers compete and natural abilities made him a far better asset in net. By the time they figured that out it was too late to resign Reimer and so off he goes as a rental.

Someone is going to pick up Reimer for cheap this summer and be very happy with their sub 4 million starter.
