    Nope, hose is off unless I need it and covered with one of those styrofoam covers. Learned my lesson first winter here when I froze the one out front :eek:

    I remember the one in my folks house broke once...part of the basement has sheetrock ceilings, part has the suspended tile. The hose bib was above the sheetrock ceiling and was pouring over the edge like a waterfall. I was home, sick, and dad was out washing one of the cars. I heard something and came out of my bedroom, across from the area where the indoor waterfall was happening. Saw what was going on and ran upstairs and got dad's attention. I grabbed the carpet cleaner to suck up the water while he shut off the water. He ran to the store and got a replacement and an extra shut off valve. Helped him do the replacement...so much for my sick day in bed!

    I know.... top hole I told him to make that big :eek: He was trying to drill a hole "straight" when he could only go at an angle... yeah he was gonna drill crooked. I told him no, cut the hole bigger and drill straight up. There was a whopping 7" of head room in that area in the attic, so it was a tough line to get in. Put a screw driver in the hole to guide the pipe down. :thumbsup: Took over 2 hours for a 10 minute job due to the location in the attic.

    All of my contracts that go out "There may be a need for some minor drywall removal in order to gain access for new wiring. All paint plaster and drywall repairs are the sole responsibility of the customer". I always tell my techs to make sure they cut large holes not a bunch of small ones and to save the patches for the customer.

    Only reason for those two, was the pipe wasn't coming down... kept getting stuck. had to make the top one bigger so they could drill a straight hole up into the attic. Knot head was gonna drill at an angle :facepalm:. I told him to cut it bigger so he could drill a straight hole :anonymous: Debating taking the whole cavity out to replace the insulation.
