I think the circle with an up arrow pie chart looking thing will take the Nav back to where it was before you hit another spot

yeah, #7 below will re-position the map around your current location.

Also since it shows the speed limit in the image above, that reminds me of a bug that was mentioned in another thread. If you're on the home screen with a split showing navigation, the speed limit doesn't show. If you bring nav to full screen (or select anything else) and touch Home again, the speed limit will display.

Now that we are on the topic of navigation. The other day my screen shut off and restarted, when it came back my navigation orientation was jacked up. the bummer is that it is hard to explain. like you would assume that the direction in which your traveling would always be on the top of your screen but on mine it isnt :confused::mad::(

That's what the #1 button on the above screen does. Changes orientation from N up, to direction traveling up, to 3d direction traveling up. Personally I like N up.

I've tried time and time again to put direction of travel 'up.' I just can't do it. North is up. Period.

My 4Runner Entune had the same options, but not the 3D feature, I believe. That's pretty sweet

Do you need to know, or care?
WIDGIN9 is correct, hitting that button changed orientation.

I still cannot get messages on my Nav system. I've done the "allow notifications" approach under Bluetooth. Tried repairing, rebooting etc. Ive an iPhone 6 Plus. Any thoughts?

I have an iPhone 6 and I got it to work, I had to do something on the phone and I think Entune. To receive them. I'll see if I can remember what it was.

according to everything I found, if you do a split screen with phone contacts as one of the splits, iPhone messages don't come through. I changed my split screen to map an weather, messages come thru now.

Don't know what the hang up is but it was a workaround...

On your phone try "Settings/Notifications/Messages." Then turn the "Show in Notification Center" slider on. I'm pretty sure that's what got mine working.
