Hello all. First let me say this forum is the best Tacoma forum ive run across. So much valuable information and quick responses. I have a 2003 2.4l 2wd ext cab. My front brakes dont need to be changed or anything, I just like to get the info. The 2car pros video that shows how to change the rotors, pads, and re-pack the bearings, shows them actually disconnecting the caliper from the brake line. Any other car/truck I've worked on usually has enough slack in the line to tie the caliper up and out of the way. So,long story short, is it absolutely necessary to disconnect the caliper from the brake line to change the front rotors? And,if it is, does one have to bleed the system afterward?
Sorry if this question has already been asked or seems dumb. Thanks in advance for your input.

No you don't need to diconnect it from the lines. Just bungee cord it off to the side.

Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to not have to disconnect the brake line. Thanks again

Np, just don't let the caliper hang on the brakelines and you'll be fine.
