Thanks for this reply. Yeah, it sucked pretty bad. I'm glad that they didn't cut my exhaust though. It irritates me that they fondled my truck though because they literally took the time to unbolt the CAT??? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for that much because I had JUST replaced my whole exhaust/muffler system because my muffler had a tiny hole in it so I just replaced pipe and all. The insurance asked if I wanted a Toyota CAT and I said, YES!!! AAA is good, but dude... come ON now???!!! WTF you think??? Anyways... yeah, I was pretty pi$$ed that day because I still had to cough-up the $250, which still hurt! Might as well just took a lighter to the $250 because that is pretty much how it went!!!

I was looking into deterent devices, but honestly didn't know this??? I want to look into this. LOL... the some of the ones that I saw, I just started laughing because all the thieves have to do is cut... cut... remove... using the CAT deterent device as a handle... LOL!!! This on the other hand, what you are possibly suggesting that may work, I am now interested in seeing if I can do this??? Thank you for posting this as I, again, honestly didn't know this? Thanks bro.

    Happy Wheel'n people

Ughh. That is sickening. It's sad, you have to spend as much or more than your deductible to buy a CAT-thief deterrent! Even skid plates won"t stop thieves in every situation. Low level bastard scum.

Its like what John and I were talking about on the way back from Anza. Theres no such thing as thief proof. Only thief deterrents. The best you can do is get as many deterrents as possible and hope for the best

Yes, I have to agree that even skids won't deter them in every situation!!! Scum bro, YES they are!!! Thanks bro for what it is worth

@itaro, I found a company called "Skid Row Offroad" and was looking at some of their skid plates. I have the factory Toyota skid plate that they show in one of their pictures. The only thing I don't like about theirs is that the front "sticks out and down" (i.e. a little too "squarish", whereas the factory skid plate sorta has a "beveled angle" to it). Just looking for now and I don't quite have the funds to just buy shi_ for 400+ bones. Actually, more than that, because from the way I see it, you would have to buy the complete set in order for the pieces to "fit", I'm sure??? Anyways... I will start thinking about this new add-on for sure... Thanks again...

Sure there is... bring back public executions!!! Rounds are cheap and reloading helps in making it cheap as well. I realize that it depends on what round you're talking about, but still. And, better yet, and practically wouldn't cost a thing, cut their F'N hands OFF when caught! Don't even leave a nub for them to jerk with... LOL!!!

Anyways, the cop that I talked to, over the phone, basically told me and/or gave me the same advise, try to make it as hard as possible, because as soon as they see the type of "work" they would have to do, they usually just leave it alone and go to the next one. Sounds like the cop has experience in doing this... LOL!!!

to all, sorry for the little rant, it just SUCKS BAD if this was to happen to any one of you... TRUST!!!

    Happy Wheel'n and rant over

Trust me I get it. My runner sits a little higher than your taco and the cat is so easy to get to. It wouldn't be hard for someone to take it.

Honestly though in someways I kinda hope it happens one day, I kinda need an excuse for a new one haha

I have no idea what's going on right now, but I will say the title under @ninjastar808's username says "Flaccid Member." Thought I would bring that to everyone's attention if it hasn't already been.

We're trying to plan out the location right now. We're not exactly sure yet, if you have suggestions. Throw them out there
