I travel 200 kms to another town once a week.
Without fail 1 hour and 10 -20 minutes into the trip
my radio shuts off and also the compass display.
Then they both turn on by themselves.
Dealer says there will be a software update soon.
Anyone else having this problem ?

No issues here yet, but my longest trips so far have been no longer than an hr.
Stay on the stealership's Azz, make sure to keep the RO and go to another stealership if they just cross their hands b/c the entune radio is awesome and very expensive to replace on your own once the warranty runs out.

Push hard on the dealer about that and get it replaced. I highly doubt a software update will fix that. There would be a hell of a lot more reports of this happening if it was a software update. You have a hardware issues, I'm guessing it's over heating.

Panasonic stereo equipment is low end - mid-range, if that. I would call anything Panasonic makes for car audio crap.

Yesterday, I hopped in my truck to go pick up my girls from daycare and before I got to the end of my street, my radio rebooted. First time it's happened and I thought it was rather odd. I have about 800 miles on my truck. My wife's 2015 Sienna Limited Premium has the exact same radio and she's reported no issues.

I also have a weird thing happening frequently... when I plug my iPhone 5 into the USB port to listen to music, I'll get a message on the radio that the iPod connection wasn't successful. I was/am going to try another cable, but I couldn't help but wonder if the reboot and the iPod connectivity issue were related.

Sooman, mine has done the same thing, but one of the two times it did it within 30 seconds of starting the truck. It basically rebooted for an unknow reason. My truck has less than 200 miles on it and I have never driven for more than about 10 miles at a stretch. I have not yet addressed this issue with the dealer.

Mine did it on one trip, during a light rain. It rebooted about 4 times within 40 minutes. Never done it before nor since!
Weird. It happened at about 6,000 miles. About 3 months ago.

Make sure you have the entune app installed and registered to your truck using the vin. Once it's done plug in your iPhone using the sync cable to the usb. Run the entune app. A download should take place if you have never updated it. Once the software update is complete you can use the Bluetooth to connect using the entune app. Basically the entune app allows your stereo to use the data connection for apps on the stereo.

This is an interesting issue... it started happening to me intermittently. So I started looking it up on here - seems people are saying everything from phone related to weather "rain" related, charging or usb etc.
Well since I started paying attention to it more I've noticed exactly when it happens and lately it's happened it the exact same spot on the drive home.. which would lead me to believe it's signal based (location ) . Anyways annoying as hell cuz personal settings and GPS history gets lost. Hope we get a update soon from Yota

I just commented on this in another thread, but I was having head unit resets and I narrowed my issue down to having a phones plugged into the USB.

Edit: I drank too many beers during that a/c drip mod. I didn't "just" comment on this. But somewhere, at sometime, I commented on this....someplace.
