Am I the only one that thinks the volume toggle and the next song toggle on the steering wheel are backwards. Volume is UP & down g*d damit, not left to right. And the song search is left to right, not UP & down g*d damit!!!!!!

every time I go to turn the volume up, I change the song, damit that frustrating!!!

When it comes to ergonomics, you should never expect your target audience to retrain natural behaviors. It should be intuitive and natural.

Do you need to know, or care?
    They're right.

I want my stations UP and running cause I'm DOWN to the tunes AND I want my volume just RIGHT, because I don't want to be LEFT out of talk radio.

Toyota is just trying to be logical about it.

LOL .... yes volume everywhere else is the up and down button. I had a hard time adjusting .... and then I looked at the stereo when I was increasing the volume and saw the lighted sliding bar moving on the stereo. I think it is left to right to coincide with the slider on the stereo for the volume moving left and right.

I agree OP. Not intuitive. I let Toyota know my thoughts when they sent me their post-purchase survey (not that it'll do any good).

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
Totally agree OP. I complained on the survey too. The guilty person at Toyota needs to be verbally abused for that one... And given a nickname.

Also dumb design to have Stereo controls on Left side of steering wheel, furthest away from Stereo.

Japanese engineers on the other side of the world.
For them there is no up and down just east and west. It just works with the cab being short and the hood being long. Hood longer than the bed. See a recurring theme here?

You are correct, sir. I've had mine for four months and still skip to the next song when I want to turn it up.

Without a doubt, 2014 GMC & Chevy are the worst!! They love their buttons, toggles, & rocker. Mirrors have 7 buttons & rocker switches to operate the 2 door mirrors. The center arm rest is higher than the door arm rest. Software is junk. Dealership doesn't have a clue.I could write a book. Traded my 2014 GMC SLT, 26,000 miles on a '16 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 accress, lovin' it!. First American made vehicle I've owned since 1985, when GM had to buy back my Buick Electra Park Ave, under MD lemon law. 31 years later they're still building junk.
