Doesn't look like it. Says it's only good off wheels and tires. Now if I stuck with my current size (265/75) it would work since those are $402 a pair. But I'd been leaning toward going 235/85s. I suppose I could just go in and try to negotiate a bit. Though it is Discount, and I generally don't hear good things about them up here.

Not sure where to go any more for mount/balance. Last time I had to do it I went to M&O like I had a couple times before and always loved their service. Unfortunately they went out of business and I haven't had to find a new place since.

I was one of the guys who followed the break-in suggestions to the letter. No cruise, vary speed if traveling long distances, and no hard starts/stops for the first 1k. Most of the time it wasn't too bad, but sometimes it's really hard to restrain yourself when you have a brand new truck. :D

I use Invisible Glass. It's always worked well for me since I switched to it and it is safe to use on tint.

That's how I did mine, ran the same stretch of Laramie River road most of the afternoon until I hit 500.

Also, I broke in the front and rear separately. I did the rear first, then the front. I Don't think it matters though.

And Brian made a good point about the heat cycling, I forgot to mention that. I used an IR temp gun to check it, I hit 180 a few times on the rear, most likely from the added stress of the locker. The front stayed relatively cool. Bring something to eat and drink whilst you wait on the cool down

Factory gears are heat treated and polished. They don't have the issues with break in that cheap aftermarket gears have. Price out a set of factory gears, they are over $800 for the ring and pinion.

So I can find a dirt road close to home run it 20 mins. Take it out of 4x4 head home hang out for an hr then do it again until the 3 heat cycles are over? Or do I have to stop completely and wait the hr?

Heads up. I'll be in the Colorado Spring/Manitou Springs area early part of July. Then moving out to the Ouray area for a few days.

So sound deadener long story short makes thinner non supported materials like our doors heavier increasing the force that is need to resonate. The shok mat that eric, myself and 4 others have, also adds a putty like layer that makes up the mass but also makes it able to be applied to the actual panel where it does most of the work to dampen noises, opposed to others that just sit against it. @manethon is the man you want to talk to for the deadener and is giving us tacoma world guys a hell of a deal on it. He sells it for 125$ per 40square feet. ( i used 100 sq ft to do my double cab) regularly the shok mat is 220$+ if manethon did not do this.
Hope i answered some questions. And let me know if there are more.
