Aloha all. I'm kinda of newbie here and I just got my Taco a few months back. I got a 2015 DCSB OR 4x4. I'm planning on installing a 3 in. Lift like the one in the picture.bd5a4b7ddd973cbc2374b52eae225c04_df71fba811243c0a2755c073e43a24b21242fbbb.jpg

Ready lift suggests I may have to get UCAs. Does anybody have experience with this lift kit and what suggestion of UCAs I should be looking for. Any feedback would help.

Many on here will tell you not to do a spacer lift. I'd be one to recommend this as well. Look into Bilstein 5100's to attain your lift. This is an economical and decent entry level lift done the right way. Good luck.

Is there anything else I need to get along with the 5100s like AALs or anything? How's the quality of the ride after installation?

You can go 5100s in the front and still use your stock springs and UCA with the AAL. Ride is a little stiffer, but hardly noticeable. It depends on how much you wanna spend also.

I would not do a spacer lift. Like everyone else has said....if you're looking for an inexpensive lift, 5100s in the front and AAL in the rear is probably the best bang for your buck.

What are the pros and cons for both?

I would think if you're trying to get to 3" using 5100's and stock springs, your ride would be like shit from all the preload. you might, or most likely, will need UCA's with 3" to get your alignment specs for recon. I had 5100's/OME 885's for a short time... was around 2-1/4" - 2-3/8" lift and I could use stock UCA's to get "good" alignment numbers. the ride was pretty good too.

This is what I currently have. Ride is good although I thought the Eibach springs rode better with the 5100 combo.

Would this kit suffice for occasional off roading.

I would think so. I did it more than occasionally and it worked perfectly.

guess that depends what size tires you wanna run and how much rubbing you can tolerate/how much hammering you wanna do.

With 4x4 you need to be careful how high you go unless you're going with a front differential drop. Going to eat up the CV axles after awhile

I max my tires at 17s. Just the occasional off road like once a month. Nothing to treacherous.

17 inches I'm hoping is your rim size...then again I seen plenty tacos that look like they run 17in tires

If I just level out my front would I need to get anything else?

I think I'm gonna get the Bilsteins 5100 and level my truck for now. That way, I still have options left. I still have till 2017 till my next safety. That should be more than enough time for me.

This is what i did, started with bilstein 5100's front and rear with front set @ .85 to level truck. Then six months later added the toyec 3" coil/aal kit. See below link..
