Not currently but soon. I really want a 4x4 double cab so I don't have to worry as much about getting stuck and so I can bring more friends.
I was looking at the photo of the stars I took out at Ocotillo, I'm not a big fan of camping but damn that I think that's so beautiful and I would love the opportunity to enjoy that more with friends and family. A 4x4 4door will allow just that

Was waiting for you to chime in, took a little while longer. Try to sell me on a 4x4, and not a 80s one, go for it lol.

Its a good way to lean more about cars. Expand your bases. When I was in high school I focused 100% on my 4runner. Didn't learn anything about anything else. Didn't understand the difference between a 350 and a 305. Was deeply confused by anything non 4runner. Then I got the Firebird. And ever since it has opened my eyes to a lot of things. Now I much better understand the differences between engines and carburetors and all sorts of things. Also realized that there are in fact only about 8 different muscle cars versus the 20 or so I though actually existed. Granted you won't learn as much from a 4runner, but you will expand your over all knowledge. Its also great to practice on multiple cars, since they are not all designed the same

Ya but your 4runner doesn't run and you had to get the firebird. I want mine to be my daily driver that I can rely on and upgrade as I please, granted it would be awesome to have a project car to learn on but my daily won't be it

Well yes of course. One thing you gotta realize is neither of my cars have really gotten modified. Most of it has just been general maintenance stuff. You've actually done more to you're taco than I have. Still, you will learn a lot just from general maintenance and what not. Also with a new car comes a new forum and more people to learn from! Not to mention depending on what year you go with, you can even learn about how they did things in different ages. In my family we have a 74 bronco, a 84 firebird, a 94 camry, and a 03 tundra (the tundra was so close to making that perfect lol). Between the 4 of them I've learned a lot about how cars have evolved over the years and that's really interesting to me

That's true but I'm probably going to stick with a Tacoma, I really like that carrying capacity of a truck

You'd be surprised what you can get back there.

Here's a good trick. Buy a super cheap 4runner. Get one with a blown head gasket like mine. You can find ones in amazing condition minus the head gasket for like $600, then you just take your sweet ass time fixing it, while keeping your taco. Its a win win

For any car that's cheap. That and a little work and you get a new vehicle and get to keep the taco

Ehhh while that is true, I still prefer trucks. Most of the stuff I've had to haul for the family business I wouldn't have a change of doing in a 4runner. Also I really like the feel of the tacoma, thank you though for the suggestions. I'll look into it but I'm probably not going to change my mind

Still get to keep you're taco. That's the way I look at it. Its also much better to have 2 vehicles over one because there is always that chance that something will happen offroad and incapacitate that vehicle. Even if insurance covers your ass you still have to wait for them to do it and look for a new vehicle. If you have 2 its mot nearly as bad

Ya a truck bed is so useful, which is why it's already hard for me to choose a short bed so I can get a double cab instead of having an access cab long bed
